Hitachi LCD TV looks like no power but power cord checks good

I have checked the power cord. Good. Tested the pushbutton power switch. Good but still no red licht. Tested the 3 amp input fuse to power supply. Good. If I need a power supply where can I get it.

Hello
Eventhough the fuses and power cord os good, and there is no power light on the panel board, means the power board do not get power to it. Check an other power outlet point first. If it does not help you, soethnig wring with the power regulator baord. Normally, these board are irreparable, and replacement should be done as card basis. OK.

Testimonial: "I just got done checking all the outputs (didn't have a proper meter before) from the power board. You are absolutely correct...it's toast. Now I am trying to find out where to get one. It's Ironic that I live in Japan but have to search the US for the part. Even though it's a Hitachi, it is considered a foreign TV here based on the model number. Thanks."

I have a Hitachi HDB70-S tv. It was switched off at the mains and switched back and I now have no picture or sound

If power was disconnected with the set either on or off when it returned (the power) the surge may have got the fuse that is inline with the power cord or even damaged the power supply board in the set.

I would look first at the fuse and take it from there if the fuse turns out to be good.

Where can I order a US power cable for a 32LD7800 Hitachi TV

Hello
Get into this link and see the suitable power cord top, to suit to your hoouse power socket. Then look at the abck of your Hitachi TV power in socket. Compare these and buy one. There is no special specifications. Choose a good quality one of a reputed company. That is all. OK

Hitachi , L32A01A , LCD, sound but no picture Need service manual or solution to issue BTW. I hate Hitachi. Have a 42 inch Hitachi Plasma (4 years old) screen separation and now the 32" LCD 1 just a...

hi, try these steps...

Use the source button to ensure that source is not set to the wrong input.

Try unplugging power cord for ten minutes, to ensure it is not a setting problem.

Check all the video cables at the back of TV.

Check Light /Color settings.

If problem persist and does not depend on external receiver or settings, then it is likely an internal fault.

If it has sound but no picture then one of the following parts is faulty, and must be tested and replaced:

The inverter is the high voltage board that provides variable power to the backlight lamp. This is the most common. When inverter is faulty you can get no picture, or a very dim picture that can only be seen by pointing a torch light with a 45 degree angle on the LCD surface from very near distance.
The inverter must be tested by reading voltages with a multimeter.

The LCD ribbon cable/LCD display and connectors.
This is quite uncommon, but happens. If the TV had been hit or moved the LCD cable may have slipped out, or the LCD connector may be damaged.

The LCD controller board.
This is the board that controls the video signal, it is difficult to test, as there is need to read determined values on IC pins. To test this board you need to purchase a service manual and follow the troubleshooting diagrams on service manual.

Input/Output Signal boards.
This are the boards where you connect the video and audio cables, if a signal board is defective, then you may get no picture on particular inputs located on faulty board.

good luck!
