How to Reset Windows Server 2008 Password Easily?

According to Microsoft, Windows Server 2008 is an award-winning system that allows IT professionals more reliability and flexibility with their server infrastructures. The newer Windows Server 2008 R2 utilizes much of the same coding as Microsoft Vista and features advanced virtualization tools, Web resources and management enhancements. Additionally, the system's Windows 7 integration helps to save both time and money, and provides a platform for a dynamic and efficiently managed data center. Tools such as Internet Information Services version 7.5, Server Manager and Hyper-V platforms, and Windows PowerShell version 2.0 give customers greater control. Often, though, it's simple tasks like resetting a user password that keep IT administrators busy on a day-to-day basis.<br /> As long as you have administrator-level access to your Windows Server 2008 machine, <a href="http://www.passwordunlocker.com/knowledge/reset-domain-password.html">resetting Windows Server 2008 password</a> becomes a quick task once you know where to look.<img src="trans.gif" /> Step 1: Log into the Windows Server 2008 administrator account using the current password.<br /> Step 2: Click the Windows "Start" button, select "Control Panel," and then click "User Accounts."<br /> Step 3: Click "Add or remove user accounts," and then click "Continue" when prompted to confirm your choice.<br /> Step 4: Select the administrator account and click "Change the password."<br /> Step 5: Type the current password in the "Current password" field, type the replacement password in the "New password" field, and then confirm your choice by typing it again in the adjacent "Confirm new password" field.<br /> Step 6: Click "Change password<br /> Well, if you have not the admin level to access or you forgot Windows Server 2008 password, what would you do? Asus A52F-X3 not working

Hello,

It might be an overheating issue or the laptop has some dirt inside it so it cannot boot. It could also be a defective hard drive. The best thing that I could advice you is to bring that to a technician because that's a complicated issue (hardware related) and only a technician can fix that.

Server Randomly Reboots

First, go to Dell's website and update all the firmware and install the latest version of Dell Server Administrator. DSA has logs information not logged by Windows. Next, take it outside and blast the fans with compressed air, make sure all components and cables are properly seated in their slots/sockets, turn it on with the cover off and make sure all the fans are spinning. Many servers will increase the fan speed if they detect the cover is off so this is another possible cause to the problem.
Finally, Dell servers have lifetime support, this number should work: (800) 945-3355
Good luck!
BTW: A temporary workaround might be to use a network controlled outlet that you can remotely turn off and on. Your UPS might be able to turn outlets on and off or you could get a stand alone network controlled outlet. Some can actually ping the device and turn power off and on again if it stops replying to pings. (E.g. IP Power EV-9255 IP http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1470N64280)

I can't get in windows. can't even activate it. Have my product key but when I enter it I get an error code : 0x8007267C description: No DNS servers configured for local system

If you are getting this error, you ARE already in Windows. Make sure you have the required Network Hardware and that it is connected and working...
Shutdown the PC, and the router. Start the router first, let it come up completely (give it more than 5 mins) then boot up the PC. If still does not work, use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as DNS servers by manually ;configuring that in the Network properties

Power button stuck down on gateway laptop

I doubt this would work twice, but a 30-min drive to the repair shop unstuck my power button. It was even in a padded case. Cheapest repair ever! (Hate me if you must but worth a try right?)

The button has been flaky for months. One day the laptop suddenly turned on by itself. When I turned it off it immediately started again from sleep/hibernate/shutdown. Pressing it 20x, spraying with compressed air and swearing didn't fix it. Instead of pulling the battery, I set Power Plan to "Power Saver" with everything set to minimum after 5 min., power button to do nothing, and NO timed shutdowns.
