Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows XP or Vista device drivers for your model computer, Use this link :- http://www.ibm.com/products/finder/us/finders?pg=ddfinder&cm_re=other-_-suprcn-_-download
You can download the various drivers and then you click on and run the variour drivers, they will then unzip and expand into a folder on C:\drivers Then install the various drivers from this folder.
is the windows cd for ibm specifically? if not then you will need: a sound card driver (optional) a graphics card driver (optional) a cd rom driver (maybe) drivers for usb ports (optional) and any other drives/ input devices on your laptop will need drivers. when formatting bear this in mind. All data will be lost! proceed knowingly and with caution. one mess up will land you in problems up to your shoulders! i recommend finding out how to do it safely
