Craftman Garaged Door Unit Stopped Working

check all wired connections, check all wires to insure no nail or staples have nicked them. check troubleshooting section of manual for codes possible circuit board. it is either a liftmaster or genie sold under the craftsman name

Nothing wrong with the sensors. They don't work when the door is opening anyway. Only when closing. Make sure the light in the wall control is not flashing. If it is press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds.

I have a feeling a new opener would end your problem.

Try another remote to see if it is just the remote or maybe the receiver on the logic board. Check to see if the wall control works and is not in the vacation mode. More information would sure help.

It could be a bad logic board especially if you have had any electrical storms in the area. I would remove and check the logic board for burnt or missing traces on the printed circuit board.

You need to reprogram the remotes by briefly pushing the learn button on the garage door opener until it flashes once, then release the button on the garage door opener.

Now press the remote button once until you hear the garage door opener click, now press the remote button once again and the remote should be programmed to work for that garage door opener.

DO NOT press and hold the garage door opener learn button for more than 10 seconds or you'll erase all programs and have to relearn all the remotes, including your car ones.

buy manual from sears. if light on control panel is off, does unit have power. check outlet. might be a bad circuit board, PS-when you first plug unit in, light bulb on motor should light.

a component in the wall unit is failing , that makes the conection happen when the remote signal is recieved , ( it is recieving the remote signal but not sending it out to the control circuit for the motor )
