Could be either the Track skip switch has collapsed and is thus over sensative or the button bank is broken and the track skip switch is being pressed when the cue button is used.
Could also have liquid spillage on the circuit board which cause all sorts of random problems

Where is the button/knob set up to play single song verses continuos songs from a cd on Pioneer cdj mk..

The button you need is the Auto Cue button, which is to the left of the top display. Press and hold to turn auto cue off, which puts the player into continuous mode. This button is also the Time Mode button.

Hope this helps

My 2006 Camry's CD player jumps track

You have the RANDOM feature engaged. Look at the player and push the button under the word "RAND" off. The RAND is just that: random tracks.

Cdj-500ll cue button repair

the faulty button will not stop it from playing well... replacing them is not hard so long as you have some experience with a soldering iron.
Clean the laser lens with a cotton bud wet with windex... then use a dry one to be sure no residue is left. If it still mistracks... new optics required!. You willl need a pioneer service agent to do this for you. A little complex for the first timer :)
