if possible plug in to a external monitor if the display on the ext. monitor is white is likely video chip on motherboard. if its white the second you turn it on try the above. found here white blank screen on acer aspire 5315 laptop how can fix this
Hi! Sorry, I hope I was not too late. You can fix priority order
issue by restoring the default value of BIOS. You can do that by doing
the steps below: 1. Reboot your Acer Aspire 5315 notebook. 2. Wait about 30 seconds until you see the Acer logo on your laptop screen. 3. Press the "F2" key on the keyboard to enter the Acer Aspire 5315 laptop BIOS menu. 4. Select the BIOS option "Load Default Setting" using the arrow keys on your keyboard. Then press "Enter." 5. Press the "F10" key to save the BIOS that is reset to the factory default settings. Hope this helps.
Fn + F5 is what changes external display mode on acer laptops. Press and hold Fn, then press and release F5 to change between three modes:
Laptop display only.
Both displays.
External display only.
OR....
You need to go into your display properties and extend your desktop onto the external monitor. If this doesn't solve it, let me know :)
we will go for a clean install for win7
save all your important data before going for the clean install
turn on your computer and then start tapping F10 key, then you will get select boot device screen]
insert the white disk( on the win7 pask)
select the one which is mentioned as DVD and then hit enter
it will start installing the fresh copy of win7
from here you only have to follow the screen
check the BIOS setup screen, when you get the ACER screen press F2 or F10 or the DEL or END or ESC key one of those will get you into the bIOS SETUP. Once there revise the boot order, make sure the CD is first to boot then HDD. Also review to see if the BIOS recosgnized the HDD. the symptom you are describing may be a bad HDD.
i know your problem. even if you change the inverter it will not work. the real problem of your notebook is vga memory or video memory. use hot air to resolder your memory. trust me!
