The ryobi 18v cordless drill, what would it compare to in an electrical drill watts

i've seen people buy adapters to power their cordless drills with an outlet, but they had problems because the outlet didn't have enough raw power for the drills. That leads me to believe an 18v drill pulls some serious amps at full torque and rpm, but the exact numbers would depend on the battery discharge capability which varies on big and small batteries as well as they load if it isn't maxing out the drill.

The drill shuts off when cord moves.

What has likely happened is one of the wires, white or black, inside the black plastic electric cord has fractured.
This is really common on electric hand tools that are either over 5 years old or are well-used.
I can't count how many times it has happened to me!
You will need to somehow cut the cord off at the bad spot, and rewire the end of the cord into the end of the drill handle.
Won't be easy, but you can do it.
Many more modern tools have a reinforced sleeve of about 2 inches at this weak spot.
God bless your efforts.

My drill press runs backwords

was this drill press recently rewired or had a switch installed. The only thing I can think of is that it is wired incorrectly. Recheck the wiring. Let me know if you need more assistance. Usually on the motor cover there is a wiring diagram for the proper voltage and rotation.

Path Of Electricity thru electric drill motor

to test the field you need a VOLT-OHMS meter and take a reading across each of the leads and they should be about the same, on the armature check EACH comm segment and they should all be about the same. DO NOT remove any wire without first making a schematic of where it came from.

How to dismantle a makita HP electrical hammer drill, want to replace the brushes

Check out the split drawing on this page.
If your makita does not have any outside accessible brush caps, you need to dismantle it.
lay it on the side, where the side with the screws securing the to halves together is facing up.
Remove all screws (some may be hidden under labels etc.) Gently pry the halves apart, locate the brushes disconnect their leads if any, and remove. Install new brushes and make sure the move freely, and that they are springloaded when in place. Gently rotate the rotor to ensure everything is ok . Reassemble and test drill. If the brushes leaves long streaks of noticeably large sparks, something has gone wrong or the rotor was damaged in the first place, causing excessive wear.

When replacing cord on black & decker 7190 type 1 electric drill i dropped the drill one of the wires pulled free and im unable to visibly tell how it is to be rewired correctly need diagram displaying...

If you look at the trigger/switch mechanism, you'll note little lettered ovals on either side at the bottom/base where the wires go. The black (hot) wire from the plug goes to the side stamped "LINE", and the white (neutral) wire goes to the side stamped "LOAD"

I have purchased new batteries for my mobility scooter which even when fully charged will not start my scooter. I turn the key but there is nothing ,as if a flat battery . Any ideas please Trudie

The control seems to be the issue. I have rewired so many scooters. When you have power and it wont go, it is usually the control. If you cannot afford the part right away, you can rewire it or have it rewired direct

I NEED TO REWIRE A DOERR LR22132 ELECTRIC

The green should be connected to the chassis, it is ground.
There should be a wiring diagram on it to tell you how to do this, but if not:

There may be T-leads on the motor labeled
P1, P2, T3,T4,T5,T8

P1-L1(black wire)
P2-cap/tape don't use.
T2,T3, and T5 wire nut together
T4,T-8 wire nut together with L2(white)

The power leads will be coming from your switch box on the compressor body itself. Don't wire the 220v directly to the motor, you replace the leads where the first motor was connected on the cutoff switch. There will be only 2 leading from the switch to the motor.

What are the trigger electrical connections for the CID-1802P cordless drill

as you look at the side of the switch, the black lead is top left, the white lead underneath it, and the two reds from the right side.

the white lead and thinner of the red leads should go to the led. if you are looking at the back of the motor as it will sit in the housing, the black lead should go to the left side and the red lead should go to the right.

if you get them backwards it shouldnt matter for the motor although it may make the switch function opposite (i.e. impactor spins rev in fwd and vice versa).

the two wires from the battery tabs plug into the bottom of the switch. again, reversing them will at worst cause the switch to operate opposite function.

Treadmill trips electrics

Check to see that the treadmill does not draw more amp than stated in the owners manual. If you are, then the problem is in treadmill. If not try another circuit in the house (not just another receptacle).
