Just remember your line level outs from preamp stage(s) go to the line level input of the EQ, and the EQ outputs go to the power amp inputs.

The output of the Hartke plugs into the input of either amp, you may need to add a balanced to unbalanced adapter. Although you should check the jack- if you can plug a stereo plug into the jack and have that second contact making contact with a tap that is neither ground nor that of the tip- your amp may have that capability.

If you do not, and it is strictly a 2 contack jack- take an XLR of suitable gender to connect to the Artmdc 2001 , jumper pins 1 and 3 with wire this goes to the sleeve of the plug. At pin 2, attach a 3900 ohm resistor and then a 1000 ohm resistor in series. The other end of the 1000 ohm resistor goes to ground. At the point where the 3900 ohm resistor and the 1000 ohm resistor come together, that is your tip connection on the plug.

You do lose some signal because of the resistance, but this method keeps noise down if your adapter is short in length. Otherwise there are enbalanced to balanced microphone adapters ready made that will work, and offer a little less insertion loss. any effects or other preamps then would rout through the Artmdc

Alternately you can also try pin 2 of the XLR to the tip connection and and pin 3 to the sleeve. Leave pin 1 alone.

THe best bet is to try each method to find the one with least noise and best sound.

AMPLIFIER CUTTING OUT WHEN SOUNDCRAFT EFX8 GOES INTO HIGH LEVELS

Hi Terence!
Check your Amp Frequency Ratings and also your power supply.
Increase the high levels gradually until cut-off.
Try reducing your output level at the EQ to match the Input Level at the AMP. What Brand & Model Amp is it plugged into?

Here is a link to EQ manual of operation.
Good Luck,

My 200hd head is not putting out the full 200 watts i have a behringer 8x10 cab and before this head used to power this cab fine now even with the volume cranked you cant even feel the bass i have...

I am not sure how you are measuring the power output to verify it is less than 200 watts. With a true RMS voltmeter you should see 28.28 volts RMS across a net speaker load of 4 ohms. If you use only one 8 ohm speaker, you will get 120 watts. If you are getting the 28 volts there is nothing wrong with the amp. You MAY have blown the speakers OR not generating much bass due to processing in an EQ. I assume you are using at least 15 inch speakers if you want to feel bass. Look up your speakers specs... you will need speakers capable of 32 Hz to feel much. With this amp your speakers should have aa total rating not less than 400 to 600 peak watts or around 300 watts RMS continuous power rating. Using a lot of high end EQ will keep the amp busy at the high end and reduce the power available at the bass end.

How do i hook up my Ultragraph Pro 6200 equalizer to my Europower PMP5000?

You use special "insert cables" to insert the EQ into the path from teh mixer to the power amps. Thee cables have three 1/4 inch jacks and are a Wye type cable that connect the TIP of the TRS jack to the TIP of the plug to be plugged into the OUTPUT of the EQ channel. A second cable ties teh RING of the insdert jack into the TIP of a plug that lugs in the INPUT of the EQ. You need two of these special cables for stereo operation.

How can a PMP 2000 be patched so that both internal amps are used to power the monitors, and the mains are sent from the mainpre-out to another power amp, while using one internal eq for the mains, and the...

No you can't quite do this since the EQ's are right before the power amps in the signal flow. The monitor output would drive two 8 ohm speakers daisy chained at roughly 300 watts RMS... I can't imagine needing more than that for a venue that is within the capabilities of this unit.
You can drive both power amps by the monitor output by setting the mon/main function on the switch and using a short TRS cable jumper between MONITOR PREAMP OUT and the RIGHT POWER AMP INPUT jack. Drive your mains from the LEFT PREAMP OUT. The EQ's will ONLY affect the monitors. Use an external EQ if you need to EQ the mains with this connnection. Use TRS balanced cables to the main amp and CONNECT all interconnected equipment to the SAME power source or receptacle, even if it means running an extension to the mixer.

How do you "bridge" a d.j. 2 channel power amp? it

Very carefully... SInce the outputs are not specified as isolated, your speakers would be connected across the hots and the returns would be jumpered.
Then for the two inputs you would drive them balanced into the XLR connectors from a single balanced source and reverse pins 2 and 3 in ONE of the connectors of this Wye cable into one of the two inputs on the amp.

Wirings connections from mixer to equalizer to crossover to power amp to speaker

The connections can be accomplished in 2 ways: Direct or using insert cables. The most common way is directly as follows:

Mixer L/R ===> EQ Input L/R ==> Amp Input L/R ==> Speakers L/R

Using insert cables you would have a single 1/4" connector at the mixer end (inserted in to the "insert" L or R) and the other end into the EQ. If you need more details about this method, please post the model of the EQ so I can determine the type of insert cable required.

Hope this helps.

I am keyboard player and i want hook up an equalizer to the system where do i hook it up to

If you're only using the keyboard, connect the keyboard output to the EQ input, and EQ output to your amp.

If you have multiple instruments and a mixer, run mixer output to EQ input, EQ output to amp.

More info, let me know.
