My yahoo messenger has stopped working!!

I've also encountered this issue, please try to clear cookies and cache then try to relaunch the Yahoo Messenger. If it still doesn't work please take note of the error message. Usually you'll get information of what the problem is though the error message.

try to open your account in your messenger...wait until its finished loading..once its done loading and something had open ..you close it properly..try going through with your chatting..if it still doesn't work, the problem is the messenger itself..try to uninstall it..and redo the procedure in installing it again..thanks..

1. Reboot your computer. 2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard. Thiswill bring up the Windows Security window. Click the "Task Manager"button and then click the "Task Manager" tab. 3. You will see a list offiles/applications. These are the applications running in the background onyour system, whether they show on your taskbar or not. Any one of theseapplications could be causing a conflict with the Yahoo! Messengerinstallation. 4. Click the top item on the list tohighlight it. Then hold the "Shift" key down and click the last itemon the list. This should highlight the whole list. 5.Click the "End Task" button. This will temporarily close allbackground applications on your system. 6. Click the "X" in the upperright corner to close the Task Manager window. 7. Install Yahoo! Messenger. You should notexperience the same issue that you had before. 8. After Yahoo! Messenger is installed,runregistry cleaner reginout also rebootyour system. All other background applications will return to their originalconfigurations.

try these steps
1)press CTRL+R 2)type regedit and enter 3)on the right hand side, there will be many options select hkeys_software and expand it by clicking on the +button. 4)select yahoo messenger from the list and right click it to delete it. 5)try installing the messenger again. 6)hope this time it will work.

You need to run and install it well, but before then u need to delete all the ones you have downloaded in other for the new one to work

try uninstalling all the yahoo messenger in your computer then restart the computer..then try installing the new yahoo messenger the 9.1 i think i forgot but its the new one...now if it srill doesnt work try calling yahoo messenger...

I had this problem till yesterday. The culprit was some ad script in the messenger ads has stopped working because it was not compatible with my flashplayer. As a result I got the message that messenger has stopped working. Download and install the latest version of flashplayer to resolve this issue. This issue has been fixed in messenger 9.

you can have as many IM's as you like installed, although i would only use 1 at a time, try doing a java update and reinstalling live messenger, then do a microsoft update

As i understand you have downloaded and installed yahoo mensenger, However its not working.

Please do the following to get yahoo messenger running.
1.First Uninstall yahoo messenger from your laptop.
2. restart your computer. Then check if all the files are deleted from Program Files and also from the registry. If not once again delete all entries of yahoo files.
3.restart your computer. Normally while downloading yahoo messenger, you have to make sure that there is no interruption in downloading. Else all the files dont get downloaded.
4. Normally to download yahoo messenger it takes 30 min to 45 min of time from the website.
5. Use the link below to dowload yahoo messenger. Please use different version of yahoo messenger as per the operating system you are using.

6. Once downloaded please install with all other messenger services exited.
7. Open yahoo messenger and login using username and password.
It will work
