My monitor is an eMachines E19T6W 19 inch Monitor, the power light just blinks blue at about a rate of 1 time every three seconds. I unplugged it and plugged it back in several times and it continues to just blink at its own. Tried making sure the video cable is on correctly to the monitor and the computer, made sure the video card was placed correctly and even restarted the computer but the problem is still there. What can be wrong?

I looked at EMACHINES website, and there is no driver availabled so it may mean that the XP OS should be able to support it.

The only reason you need to install the driver is to be a ble to get all the resolution this monitor can support.
So what kind of problem are you having?

Sorry, I have no solution, just thought you might like to know that I am having the exact same problem.
The only thing I can add is that it appeared after a night that my computer was set to do a weekly upload of Microsoft, anti-virus and anti-spyware updates. Also, that night we had some electrical storms. The menu pops up in the bottom right corner at very erratic intervals and sometimes just flashes, while other times stays on for minutes. It is driving me crazy!
I have tried updating the monitor driver and the video card using the "Device Manager" icon found in the "Control Panel". No luck. I have also ran anti-virus and anti-spyware scans and also used AVG to scan and fix registry errors. No luck.
I am open to suggestions.
Thanks

Go to any computer-store, and buy a cable.
Or, look on www.eBay.com for a seller of such a cable.
I am not an xbox person, but as far as hooking it up, it should work as long as the other device is NOT powered up. That being said you will still have to provide audio from the xbox another way as dvi only carries a video signal, unlike the hdmi which carries both audio and video.

I know this is an old question, but it may have been possible the driver for the video card required updating if the card itself was not operating. The only way to test is to have another computer to try the eMachine monitor with, or another monitor to try on the video card. Also, inspect the cables, sometimes pins within the connection may be broken.
