Which model is it? IR-400 or IR-8500.... It has to do with the fixing dive.. I would say you need a service tech. You have to fix the problem in order to clear the code. Most times it could be the cleaning web is wraped around the UFR or the LFR has the LFR pick-offs dug in to the LFR or it could be the actural fuser diver gear on the fixing unit is gumed up or the ball bearings are seased up.... It's up to you????

I have to admit I do not have the exact manual for the 8500 but I do have the manual for the Ir105 which is basically a faster version of your device, as they are of the same family and were released as such. Canon is very good about maintaining the integrity of their error codes thru models and even thru the years of their models. They tend to merely make distinctions (as technology changes) with the suffix (the 4 digit add on, as in your case 0010 which means you followed the instructions in the display and turned the copier off and back on and the copier could not recover). E13 means that the waste toner delivery system has a problem. Let me elaborate as I am full of hot air. In an ideal world all of the image that is developed in order to make the copy you requested is transferred from the drum and to the paper. In truth a small portion of the image(toner) remains on the drum and must be removed to make the drum ready for the next image or you would see Aunt Helen's chili recipe faintly on the next copy. That "waste toner" is removed by using a a rubber squeegee (cleaning blade) that presses against the drum. Then the accumulated waste must transported away and deposited into the waste toner bottle. This is done via a relatively long tube that is the path between the image area and the waste toner bottle. There is an auger/long coiled screw within the tube that makes sure the toner carried to the waste toner bottle. The toner is so "fine" that without the stirring of the auger( which maintains fluff and flow) it could easily turn into a rock hard mass. But, if the waste toner bottle gets full and the waste toner delivery system continues to shove toner into a confined area, it will become obstructed which trips a sensor that is sensitive to even the smallest amount difficulty. I don't recall the exact verbage but i know that the copier will warn you in the display that the waste toner bottle is almost full before you get this code because the sensor once triggered begins a count sequence. So, make sure the waste toner bottle is empty. But at this point, you probably have to remove the back cover and locate the aluminum tube that delivers the toner to the waste toner bottle and "TRY" to remove the now concrete that has formed within the tube. This will require removing the tube and manually cleaning all that **** out. I dont think you have to go into srvice mode to reset this code once you have freed the system up. But if you complete the afore mention process and the code remains then press "additional functions" then press 2 and 8 at the same time , the press additional functions again. Press copier, then functions, then error, then clear, then at the lower right corner press ok. Power off and power on. Sorry to rattle on so much but i wanred to be as helpful as possible. GFL/. Error E 019 is for the toner waste bottle full. It is behind a rectangle shaped cover on the lower right side of th machine (by the power switch). Empty it and reboot the copier.

you have to clear this error by doing the following press additional function(*) and 2,8 together) then press additional functions (*)again (you have to do this quickly to get into service mode then you press copier
then you press function
then you press clear
then you press ERR
then you press ok
then turn off the machine and then back on
this is a low toner level detection code
