HI,

e-machines are only a brand-name Of computer.
If you have a close look at your motherboard, and find the board number ( sometimes by the Ram Slots ) and with e-machines theres usually a piece of paper with a number on.
I,ll assume that your board is Foxconn. Your better off going to Foxconns site, and downloading the drivers from there. The drivers your missing are Base-system drivers. If you Have A VIA Chipset on the motherboard. You,ll probably download The VIA 4 in 1 driver, this should solve your problems.

Alternatively, if you,ve installed Windows XP, ensure you have SP2 And SP3 installed Also.

Hi, I've just installed OS. In Device Manager there are exclamation marks by Ethernet controller, Network controller and PCI simple communications controller. I've tried emachines...

You should install the drivers from this link:

http://support.gateway.com/us/en/emac/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=3333

Install the chipset driver first, the you install LAN driver and the appropriate Wireless LAN driver. You would probably find which wireless card you have by looking under your computer, there should be a sticker.

Using an emachine E730 on windows 7 and can't use the touch pad when im using the keyboard. need this fixed is there a way to change it

Sounds like your touch-pad drivers are missing, here is the driver page for your machine, E730 I noticed you have it listed as a Desktop but This model is a Laptop model...... Download and install the Touch-pad driver, ensure that you choose your version of windows 7 in the drop down.
Good luck and feel free to ask any follow up questions you like in this thread.

Pci communications controllers

PCI Communications driver is normally a modem. You can search the Support.dell.com driver database for a Vista driver for that model modem.
