How can i install my webcam (microsoft VX-3000) if i lost the CD ?

Hi there,
You can still download the drivers from the links below for your windows
For Windows 7 LifeCam 3.2 32-bit and 64-bit for Windows 7
For Windows XP (32-Bit) LifeCam 3.2 32-bit for Windows XP SP2 or higher (excluding 64-bit)
For Windows XP (64-Bit) LifeCam 2.04 for Windows XP 64-bit
Download the drivers, unplug the camera from the computer and run the setup Lifecam3.22.exe, Install the drivers and follow on-screen instruction, Within the setup it might will prompt you to plug in the camera, connect the camera and the drivers will be loaded automatically and you will need to restart your computer once,

Better used the cd installer that comes with the camera make sure its compatible to your Operating System (Xp, Vista)..if this fails you have a problem with the camera...if you change the camera and still doesnt work..try to plug it in the usb at the back of your pc..maybe its just a power problem with the usb connection..hope this works! Error Msg: Problem occure during Hardware installation

Having Nero installed can cause this problem. This is from the Microsoft Knowledge base. There are some other programs that can cause this problem. Search "Lifecam Program" I believe I have tracked the problem down to this. I have not uninstalled Nero yet, But Nero crashes when trying to launch it video utilities. So at this point I am presuming that tere is a conflict.

Software won't work with vista

Uninstall Windows Vista. Do a fresh install of Windows XP Professional Sp2. Download XP drivers and install camera. Many software programs have trouble initializing in Windows Vista. Good luck!
