How to remove dell t3500 front cover - Dell Precision T3500 Computer Workstation (Intel Xeon W3503 80GB1GB) (BW1S1360) PC Desktop

1. Turn off your computer.
2. Disconnect all the external cables from your computer.
3. Remove the side cover.
4. Disconnect the power and data cables from the hard drive(s) and remove the hard drive(s) from the computer.
5. Remove the hard-drive tray:
a. Press the release latch and rotate the hard-drive tray to lift it.

b. Remove the screws that secure the hard-drive tray to the chassis; lift the hard-drive tray up and away from the computer.

Just to make sure thatnothing else is causing the problem, remove any PCI cards like modem, videocard, sound card, etc... Remove the memory modules and disconnect cables toCD/DVD drives. Look at the USB ports to see if any are damaged.

All the info you need. Very easy to do.

If the drive won't open you can use an unfolded paperclip and insert it in the small hole (paperclip size). Push in and it will pop out.

Go to the BIOS settings and make sure the drives are recognized by the BIOS. Ensure they are set as either Master or Slave drives depending on where they are fitted.
Your OS should, once the BIOS picks them up, format as required.
