Kenmore micriwave won't heat!

I have a kenmore over the stove microwave M/N363.67202 purchased in 2003, just started not heating food. the turntable moves and panel seem to be working. What suggestions do you have of part is broken, as I am a technician and not afraid to get in there and fix.

Thanks

Here are some links you or someone you know can use (in order given) for test help, but read the safety warnings first:

http://www.gallawa.com/microtech/diode.html (if it is NOT shorted, it's probably fine)
http://www.gallawa.com/microtech/mag_test.html
http://www.gallawa.com/microtech/xformer.html

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

Your biggest suspects will be a bad connection or relay on the control panel, a bad connection on the magnetron terminals, a bad magnetron, a shorted high voltage rectifier diode or a bad high voltage transformer.

You can find exploded views and part numbers by entering your model number at the Sears parts site.

A full Sears/Kenmore model number has 3 digits, a dot, then 8 more digits, such as ###.########

You may be able to find better part prices than Sears here.

Your magnetron may have a 5-9 year warranty, so check your manual for that. Sears may send you a magnetron if it's bad and warranty.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Bosch microwave oven, turntable not working, food not heated

Even if the turntable isn't turning, the oven should still heat the food but it will be uneven cooking. I would suggest that the unit is not "microwaving" This is usually the high voltage capacitor, fuse or diode failure. You will need knowledge of how microwave ovens work and specialist tools to test these. If you don't, I would suggest you get a tech who does. There are extremely high voltages in microwave ovens.

May Spacemaker XL1800 stop heating food. Was working fine. Then just stop

Is this an over the stove type unit? I have had a few problems with my over the range spacesaver. I think the heat from cooking gets up into the microwave and damages it. The steam from me boiling things on the stove had mine quit heating and I purchased a new one. The parts to replace the faulty ones can be quite expensive over $150.00, so its better to purchase a new microwave.

Microwave won't heat food

9 out of 10 times if all else is working then it is the magnatron rod that does the heating chances are it will be more expensive than to purchase a new microwave.

Kenmore 721.80403 microwave won't heat

If the turntable does move as well it is likely the inverter (power) or the Magnetron itself.
