yes if you can get the side plates unscrewed and the backplate plate uncrewed then the sides should lift off of the power supply now if you look at the board where all of the wires are it should be on the side by the power cord they are pretty small and some of them are soldered in so be carefull ok keep me posted ook best regards mike
No it is not neccassary to use a E-machine power supply if your previous one has become faulty. You can use any one as long as it has the required power rating.

Actually no, the power does continually comes in but, when stopped, the PS is in a state that could be assimilated to stand-by - only a small side circuit is continually operational.
