When tv was turned off, everything was working fine. Turned tv on next morning and, Ant.1 showed a black screen with white dots, and computer garbage (It wasn't just static, you can tell it is computer generated lines), moving around and was colored green, The other devices, (ps3 and vcr) had blue screen with a basketball sized ghost floating around in the middle of the screen. Sometimes, audio partially works on ant. 1. I can select demo mode and the picture comes in almost perfect, except for the floating ghost is still present. There are no flashing lights on the front panel, just the one solid green light.
I have thought about this since you first posted it. if the demo is good then the light engine is ok. it sounds like a problem in the chassis. probably on the DM and the terminal board. to repair the chassis would cost about $250.00 plus shipping. go to www.tv-techs.com

1) you must repair the ant cable, see if the cable is open or break test with VOM, this can produce erratic problem. 2) you have the options to go to the repair shop TV for fix. 3) clean the contacts antenna TV, for dust, dirty or oxide. 4) repair any broken wires and solder. 5) of course you have the probably problem of some problem inside of TV example, TUNER, i-f,video detector, AGC. test it see the diagram God bless you
If i am to understand this correctly, this is a rear projection television. Inside there may be 1 - 3 " color " control boards that control the picture before going on to the projector. an accumulation of dust / dirt / debris has adverse affects on electronic componants, make sure they are dust free (compressed air cleans them off quite well. If using a home compressor, make sure there is a vapor filter to remove water from the airlines.)
If they are clean, and as you said you recently had the television serviced to replace the projection lamp, take the television back to the repair shop to have them determine the problem.
If you yourself replaced the projection lamp, be sure to check all connections are properly seated if you had to disconnect something, make sure they are in the proper places, and any connections are securely connected.
If all else fails, have a local electronics / television repair person check the unit for faulty componants.
Sounds like the CRTs are going into protective blanking due to the vertical output ic needing to be resolderd. Try resoldering the vertical IC that may possibly fix the issue.
I turned the set on and everything was fine, then the screen went black and mullti-colored horizontal (arched) lines were flashing across the screen. The next day I turned the set on and everything was fine for about 5 minutes then the problem reoccures again. Haven't looked for solutions till now.
Try opening that "Ant A, B" device and apply some fresh solder to all the components inside. Also you can try to by-pass that device using the connector below. One end connects the cable in and the other end connects to the circuitry inside the TV.
Mitsubishi list this problem and has a solution of replacing several small surface mounted caps and diodes. we have tried this repair 5 times and only successfully done it once. so replacing what is called the formatter board part # 930B924002 for around $ 350.00 usually repairs this type of failure, However changing this board is a time consuming thing and takes a lot of Patience. It is buried deep in the set and several other board have to be removed just to get to it
