Presario v2000 stuck in hibernation, can't power it up

Turn off your pc and unplug the monitor from the power source wait 1 minute then plug it back in and reboot your pc.

Try booting into the BIOS Screen and resetting to factory defaults. If that fails suggest swapping the hard drive out and re-install the Operating System - Save your old data and migrate the data off the old drive. You can buy an external drive adapter to connect the harddrive to a USB port to migrate you data.

you might have shot out your battery because if electrical curent is goging in to the computer (te orange light is going on) but the computer wont turn on it might be a problem with your battey

Verify that your AC adapter is working. There should be a light that comes on when it is connected to indicate that the battery is being charged. If the power adapter is okay, your system may have locked up during the hibernation cycle and needs to be reset. Hold down the power button for 10 seconds, release it, wait 5 seconds, then press it once. If that doesn't work, remove and re-install the battery with the power disconnected, then try again. If you still cannot get it to power up then something may have failed inside your notebook.

if the computer will turn on with it plugged into ac power than it is most likely the battery. batteries on these machines are cheap. Mine died after a year

you might need to check your ac adapter and power outlet first before blaming your motherboard.
you go to hibernate mode because the battery is low. the battery is low because you ac adapter isnot supplying power to battery.

Is the battery drained and/or the power disconnected?

It sounds like one of the most frequent failure for a laptop, the plug on the back of your laptop is probably broken. Check if it's loose, try to move the plug until you get the orange light. If it's the case, someone need to resolder/replace the plug on the motherboard.
