Speed Queen AWN432 Washer Logo
Anonymous Posted on Jan 29, 2012

I bought a new Speed Queen AWN432. Installed it, filled it with water. When the water stopped filling the motor does not run.I've pushed the lid switch on the back side to make sure it was close

I've pushed the lid switch on the back side of the washer but this did not work. After the unit fills with water it makes a humming noise for a short period, about a minute. The motor does not start running. The troubleshooting guide mentions the motor overload protector which is suppose to reset the timer automatically in 2 to 3 minutes. I waited and it didn't work either. Can someone tell me of other options?

I only have three sweat shirts in a full tub of water. I don't think the weight is a problem. I checked my level and my side to side was about 1/8 of bubble off level. I shimmed up this side but still didn't solve anything. Thanks for the suggestion.

If there is too much weight to 1 side, sensors in it will stop it from spinning. If you evenly distribute the weight of your clothes this may fix it.

Model LWS11AW-3062. Why does it fill the tub with water, then stop?

Most likely a bad lid switch preventing the motor from running. Ticking sound may be the timer (if it has mechanical, not electronic) control. Could also be a broken belt, but the motor would run (there would be some noise) it just would move anything.

Rinse cycle doesnt work

Because the water from the wash is still inside it and has not drained. So you need a new drain pump!

Speed Queen HA4011 Fills Very Slow

Hey there, George. Likely, the valve isn't fully opening due to either (or both):
Weak magnetic coils.
Mineral deposits or debris interfering with the valve.

I know it's easy for me to spend your money, but if the fill valve isn't working right, a new one is fairly cheap:

http://www.repairclinic.com/Speed-Queen-Washing-Machine-Model-HA4011-ID-513343-Valve-Or-Float-Assembly-Parts

If you're bent on cleaning the valve before buying a new one, vinegar disolves most minerals found in well and city water. If the valve is filled with rust from old pipes or well water, you really should buy a new valve.

Good luck from Detroit, MI.
