Cannot install .Jar iles or .sis files to nokia 3110c

nokia E5 is symbian S60, yes, it supports java/.jar apps. and also .sis, just copy the application either cable or bluetooth, there are 2 ways in installing the file 1. via pc suite 2. on your phone,

Either you can copy the .sis file directly to your phone via USB or Bluetooth and access it from the file manager to install it. PC Suite is a standard Nokia software used to synchronize phone information with a PC.
You'll need to have the handset connected to the PC for this to work.

• Download SIS file to your PC/Mac desktop computer.

  
  

• Run PC Suite on your desktop computer
• Look for the "Install software" option and select the downloaded SIS file.

This is a well known bug of Nokia 5320.Nokia have resolved this issue.This bug will not allow you to install .jar files mainly..But it will allow
.sis files which have correct certification.


Nokia 5320 has 3.0 to 4.0+ firmware is available in the market.
You have to press +#0000# and check the firmware version
Even though your firmware is of 4.0+ try to upgrade it again.Because of the corruption in the phone...

Steps how to upgrade it.
1)Connect Nokia with USB cable provided during the time of purchase of the phone.
2)Install Nokia PC suite that is also given during the purchase of the phone in a CD.PC suite can be downloaded in the internet in nokia official website for free.
3)Open Nokia Software Updater through PC Suite interface.
4)Your internet should be On.Nokia updater will download it automatically and upgrade your phone version.
5)Follow the step by step instruction of Nokia Software Updater.

Note:Do not disconnect the phone while its updating....

because your mobile nokia 3110c doesnt supports .sis format application


it only supports .jar files which you can download from www.getjar.com

The PC is not supposed to open .sis files. They are meant to be installed on Nokia phones. And for that you have to install Nokia PC Suite on your PC. Else if you download the .sis files on your Nokia phone or copy from the PC to the phone, then you can select it and install on the phone. Once again, not on the PC.

Nokia 3110c is series 40 based phone and it supports only java file(jad and jar files). .sis files run on symbian phones series 60. it is like u want to install windows software on mac os. so go to this website and find apps for ur phone
