We have the Electra Elite DTU 32D-2 system at work. I know the voice mail / night mode are on their own time system. We have the manuals, voicemail user guides. What we can't seem to find is the

We know how to access our personal options and change our voicemail. I know how to set the time from my #100 reception desk phone. But the Night Mode time is off, and the date stamp we received on our voicemails is incorrect. This mean the Night Mode message is coming on at the wrong time. I've learned thru my research, we need the System Manager to fix this,......at this point.....I am the system manager, and we can't find the reference manauals to do this. Many thanks if you can help!

SOURCE: Voice Mail

We would first need to know what system you are using. Look for the system in a telephone closet or server room and their should be lettering on it, like ivs, ipk. Let us know what it is, than also there is a card in the system thats has lettering on it like vms, fms, vmp we would need to know what type of card as well to tell you how to access it. There could also be an external device, like pc, hooed to the phone system to run voicemail, but we need details. check out ldtsnj.com

How do change the outgoing "Night Mode" message in the Voice Mail System on NEC Electra Elite DTU 32D-1?

If you are using an Active Voice product (typical w/ NEC) you need to change the hours of operation on the voice mail system. "Night Mode" only changes the ringing characteristics of the phone system and where calls ring, not the greetings that play on the voice mail. The voice mail plays a particular greeting (Day/Night/Holiday) based on the time of day specified in the schedule. The system administrator for the voice mail would have to make this change.

Changing amount of rings when going to voicemail

The call forwarding was turned off. To turn on, press speaker, enter 793, press 1(for set), press extention number, and enter 300. If you have call forwarding on and are looking for more rings, do the above steps except press 2 (for clear).

Voicemail

Log into the voice mail server and you can reset the Voice mail for each account like it was a new account or you can delete the pass word on the account and then setup form the hand set. You do need to know the password to get into the voicemail server program. I believe as default it is NEC.

VOICE MAIL NOT WORKING

Is it the type with a hard-drive mounted on the card?
If so, pull the card out of the system, let it sit for at least 15 minutes, then plug it back in. You might even try putting it in a refrigerator (just don't get it wet).

If it still doesn't come back online, it's time for a service call.

I hope you have a maintenance contract, though.
