Try connecting it to a computer and then turning on the camera. For some reason that fixed it for mine.

If it is Canon A60 camera then it has bad ccd imager and requires replacement.
Canon replace ccd imager Free of Cost as per announced scheme.

Try this, it may or may not work. Insert the Video cable plug in and out of its slot a few times. The cable when inserted turns the screen off. But sometimes corrosion can build up on the internal plug switch, also causing the screen to turn off. Inserting and removing the cable a few times can sometimes knowck off this corrosion.
