How to Unprotect a Write Protect Flash Drive

I have a password protected Fujifilm 8gb USB Flashdrive without a write protect switch.
By mistake, I left it in my computer when I shut down and switched off and didn't notice it when I switched computer back on again and now when I insert it into any USB port on any computer and put in my password, I get a message telling me that the drive is Write Protected, please Unprotect the drive. I did not write protect the drive (it has no write protect switch) and do not know how to unprotect it. Please can anyone help with this ? I have important info on the drive that I need. Thanks

Usb flash drive unable to format

Your problem of flash driving not formatting can be because the protect switch of some flash drives. Many USB drives have a tiny write protect switch which does not allow it to be formatted so it not be placed in the right position ,try to apply this method will surly help you to maintain your usb drive last long without any issue.otherwise go for usb drive without this type of write protected switch.

My usb flash drive was write protected and i want format it. i am unable to format it.usb flash disk

Look for a write protect tab on the end or side of the flash drive. Some have them, some don't.

The manufacturer should allow you to download the software (Is this a Cruzer?) that originally allowed you to protect it, then you may be able to unprotect it.
