  • Anonymous Jan 27, 2012

Everytime you try to scan into my Panasonic KV-S2026C scanner, the paper jams (crumples the paper) before it gets to the first sensor.

There is a red light error on the scanner and it beleives there is paper in the scanner. I have unplugged and replugged everything. I have reset the scanner and I have also turned the paper feeder to...

I found someone had placed a piece of tape on the cork where the scanner feeds in which was causing the sensor to believe parper was there. When I removed the tape the red light went off.

My panasonic kv-s2026c has a black line running down the left side when I scan my documents. I have cleaned the rollers, used air canister to see if anything is stuck in there. That didn't help

On the CD that came with the scanner is a directory called "Shading Utility". Copy this folder to your PC. Put a blank piece of copy paper into your scanner. Open up the Shading Utility folder and then double-click on the shadingutility.exe. The password is "GOSHADING" without the quotes. This process will take a few minutes but it will re-align the lens in the scanner which has gotten out of alignment through vibration. This is what is causing the vertical black line on the left side of the page.

Red Light on and software says its got paper in the feeder which it doesnt.

Dust on the paper sensors is a common problem with ADF scanners such as this. Look at the paper sensor video on our web site for hints

Scanner pulls through more than one sheet at a time, continually, but not all the time, and often jams for no apparent reason.

Clean the rubber rollers with a damp, but well wrung, cloth. No solvents please!. This will remove all the paper dust and give necessary grip to the rollers. If they are worn out you need to replace them.

Paper jam, but no paper in the machine

This one is easy, its yoru exit sensor, the only sensor in the scanner "looking" up, so dust sits on it untill it thinks its paper. slide in a cotton bud or blow air in the small recess between the 2 black exit rollers visable where the paper exits from.

let me know how you get on.
