HP vs19 19" LCD Monitor power button is blinking blue and there is no display on screen. Video card is fine...other monitors work on system. Any ideas/solutions?
A blinking blue light indiactes that your power-inverter board is not
putting out what it should. It needs an overhaul which may be a simple
as changing out the capacitors on the boards.
It could go beyong that to transistors or even a bad bulb.
It will have to be opened up to do that.
A picture may show visual signs of damage. If you can take one and email it to me , I'll take a look.

Less than one year old, now it will not power on??
Mine blinks too but it does eventually come on, then its good the rest of the day/night until I do a cold start again the next day. It usually takes 20 -30 minutes for it to come on. Same problem? If its not caps what elese would it be?
I HAD the same problem for a few weeks. Now it is completely unresponsive. I've swapped it for working monitors on 2 other computers to verify that it is this monitor. Also swapped cables and power cords, all to no avail. Unfortunately, it's out of warranty (of course) so it's off to Best Buy for a new one. At least I can get one of the wide-screens now.
Mine started doing this 2 days ago and it is driving me nuts. I have since put an older monitor on my computer and it works fine. I've had this monitor about 3 years now and really like it. I don't like the newer ones that are out so will take it to the shop to see if it can be fixed.
