Hi, the problem is that no encryption is set at both devices. there are neither MAC filter nor network password. default gateway is the same. and no one can find solution - even service :(

Your extender may not be able to talk to the router. Make sure you have set default gateway in extender to IP of the router. Turn off encryption first. Check the router if extender shows up in active client list or active mac address list.

The default login = admin
The default PW = blank (just press Enter)
You can now configure the wireless settings .

Trouble logging into a D-Link DWL-G710 Wireless

Let me try to get the info straight:

Your computers IP address (manually configured): 192.168.1.4
D-Link Range Extender IP: 192.168.0.30

If this is correct, you will need to change your IP to something like:

192.168.0.X (make sure it's not in use on your network already)

otherwise you will not be able to connect to it with your comptuer.

DWL-G710 won't connect to 192.168.0.30

Here is a link to the manual for your DWL-G710.
D-Link manual on page 13 it lists the url entry should be
"http://192.168.0.30" This is a HTTP link not a HTTPS.
Also the address you typed in might be a typo. The IP address should be 192.168.0.30 not 192.168.0.30.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Setup range extender

Kolay gelsin.Good By

DWL-G710 and DWL-700AP compatibily problem

when using the AP you have to make sure you set the SSID, channel & wireless key in the AP the exact same as the router and make sure when configuring the Ap that you set the default gateway as the IP address of the router.

D-Link AirPlus G DWL-G710 WIRELESS EXTENDER

the IP address must be different on the router & extender but use the same subnet mast. The extender has to have the gateway set as the IP address on the router.

Are you using the correct cable type. If it is a CAT5 type cable it could be you are using a patch cable rather than a straight through type or vise versa.

DWL-G710

Move the repeater directly next to the router, connect to the repeater with a laptop/desktop and enter the configuration utility, see if you are even able to establish a "signal" status. If not, you may have a defective product or extreme amounts of emi.
