Maximatic Elite EDF-4080 Deep Fryer - Heating Element Replacement

Where can I obtain a replacement heating element? One of the heating elements stopped working: both the power and temperature LEDs do not light up. I love using this fryer so I just want to get it working again.

the little trigger button that makes sure it is in place in the bowl of the oil is stuck and the spring is not working which prohibits the unit from heating up.

How to remove heating element

In order to remove the heating element of a Cuisinart deep fryer you need to do the following:

1. Unplug the fryer.
2. Tip the fryer and put the oil into a container.
3. Put the fryer on its side, with the open top over the sink and a bowl in the sink beneath it. Leave it this way so most of the rest of the oil can drain.
4. Wipe the inside of the fryer with a paper towel.
5. Put several layers of newspaper on the counter and stand the electric deep fryer upside down on top of the paper. You will see that there are rubber feet under the base held in by screws.
6. Remove the feet and screws and you will be able to take off the base to expose the electrical workings inside.
7. Locate the heating element which has wires leading to it. Start by removing the wires leading to it and then loosen up and remove the heating element itself.

It is a rival 4.5l. the heating element does not work anymore. need to replace it.

If I read the title it say PROBLEM WITH THE MICROWAVE, on the other hand when I Google the Rival 4.5L it is a deep fryer?!?!?, now if you'r talking about a Microwave oven there is NO heating element, what produces the heat is called a MAGNETRON... it can be replaced but it's cheaper to buy a new oven. Now if you'r talking about a deep fryer, you are correct there is an element inside the unit but as for it's replacement you need to check if it is servicable, some models are riveted meaning you can not disasemble it without braking the rivets... if you finally get it appart check the element for a part number if it has one than it's just a matter of calling a near by applayance store and order it (it would be even better to show the element to the clirk) than again the element could cost as mutch as a new fryer...

Cheers!

Our RIVAL Deep Fryer CZF725 heating element does not work. We purhased this fryer at a local WalMart store and only used it three times. WalMart told us to contact the manufacturer directly. HAVE SAME...

These models are not designed well. They are inexpensive, but not durable. I would check the connections at the element. You may have to mark this up to experience. I am surprised Wal Mart will not just replace it. Do you have your sales slip?
