SOURCE: I just got this Vizio

Before you go to any more trouble troubleshooting potential hardware and/or connection issues, look at this page of reviews on Dell's site, taking special care to read 'Review 8' by an owner named 'Milwsport'.

Can't connect to Netflix with my Element smart TV

Where your Smart TV already has an app in its app pages, start that app, log onto your Netflix account (which you need to pay for) and watch away.
If your TV does not have a Netflix app, give Player a try at http://www.Playora.com - this is an app that runs on a PC and lets you open content on the screen of the PC and toss it to a lot of different Smart TVs (Samsung, Panasonic, LG, Sony, JVC, etc.). Ithing, It will be helpful for you.

I have a Netflix account set up on the downstairs television. Can I watch it on tv upstairs and how do I set it up. I’ve been told that with a code I can watch it on 3 different televisions

First, I'm not a Netflix representative.
* Call netflix for support.

*** Following is for information only.***
* Unless Netflix changed the regular accounts. You just need to log into Netflix and your account (with same password)
* You do not need separate accounts (though it does help if you have a lot of kids or adults using the same account.)
* Netflix does limit the amount of users on the same account. It also depends on who's logged in at the same time.
* Our daughter was away at school so we noted she watched a lot of movies (when she should be study)
* Multiple TVs in any location can be logged in.
* If too many are using your account then you will get a "Too many users on your account" error.
* Kids tend to pass around account information when at a neighbor's house. Once logged in with correct password the TV will use your account until it's deleted from that TV set.
* Change your password if this happens too often.
* Contact Netflix for additional advice.

DO I NEED TO PAY EXTRA TO HAVE NETFLIX ON ANOTHER TV?

No - once you have an account you're actually given up to 5 - five - profiles or users. Basically with a standard Netflix subscription you & up to 4 other people/devices can be logged in and using the service at one time. It only counts as being used when it's actually streaming - so you can view from any tv, phone, etc. It doesn't monitor the different devices that log in - but how many users per account at one time. The limit is 5 at once - on any devices you wish to use. All The Best, Justin M.

I already have netflix account, but just put rook stick on another non smart tv rook wants me to start another netflix account, how do i sign into the existing netflix account ?

the base account allows 2 simulations connections
eg : streaming 2 TVs same time.
to long in use your user name and PW
that is all there is to that.
no sign in to your account, unless, you like giving them free money?
no rooku does not
netflix, memorizes your device names .
so it can stream based on what it wants and needs
that means you need to sign in one time,
on each new device. used.
TV , rooku , DVD smart player. etc.
all are devices and very different.

so does vudu and hulu, i have all 3.

How do I watch Netflix on a non-smart Vizio TV?

Here are several answers--but keep in mind, they all involve attaching a device of some sort--whether it's a computer, a laptop, a tablet, a phone, or a device like Google's Chromecast, Amazon's Fire Stick or FireTV, or other devices similar to those I just mentioned from Google and Amazon.
You will usually need an HDMI cable to attach your device to the TV (whether it needs an HDMI cable or not depends on whether the device plugs directly into your TV's port or whether it needs a separate cable--of which there are standard HDMI, mini HDMI, and micro HDMI).
The simplest, easiest, and least expensive types of equipment to enable your non-"Smart TV" to view Netflix are the "key-fob" type devices like the Chromecast and Amazon Fire Stick (there are others, but these are the most common, most popular, and well-supported devices.)
You would simply plug the device into your TV's HDMI port, attach the power cable (these devices may be able to draw power from your TV's HDMI port, but often require a separate power adapter to be plugged into them) log onto your Google Play account or Amazon account, download and install Netflix, and log onto Netflix. Usually (but not always) the Chromecast and Fire Stick have Netflix installed, but you may need to update or download and install/reinstall the Netflix app.

Why cant I connect to Netflix on my Vizio LED tv, it has internet apps on it but I cannot get it to connect to my wireless internet?

Is it asking for your user code. You actually have to go to your account on netflix website and enter in what tv or blue ray player you are using and it will give you a conformation code that you enter on the device itself when trying to log in and it should work fine. You must activate it in the Netfix account first and it is free of charge.

The Netflix app on my vizio svt422xvt (one of the Vizios with VIA internet & wifi built-in) won't connect to Netflix. It directs me to the Netflix website for help, but Netflix help tells me to...

I had the same problem with my Vizio XVT473SV. I couldn't find the Netflix Activation Code. When I clicked on the Netflix App, the TV would ask me if I wanted to connect to Netflix, then it would ask me if I was a Netflix member. After clicking yes to both, it would tell me it couldn't connect to the Netflix server, check with Netflix.com/tvhelp. After a couple hours of troubleshooting, the solution was......your first use of the Netflix App has to be via the Ethernet Port/Cable. This will give you a screen with the Activation Code, after you activate the code in your Netflix account, you can go back to using WiFi on your Vizio TV to connect to Netflix. Step by step instructions are...
1) Exit the Vizio Netflix App.
2) Physically connect an Ethernet cable to your broadband (just temporarily)
3) Check to make sure the Vizio is using the Ethernet port and not your WiFi (Apps Button - HDTV Settings - Network...may have to reboot the TV to get Ethernet port connection)
4) Start the Vizio Netflix App
5) Click OK to start the Netflix App
6) You should now see a different screen that gives you the Netflix Activation Code.
7) On your Computer, Login in to Netflix,
8) Click on "Your Account & Help" link on upper right corner
9) Scroll down to Watching Instantly on your TV or Computer section
10) Click on Activate a Netflix Ready Device
11) Enter the Activation Code shown on your Vizio TV and click Activate
12) Once your Netflix account (on your computer) shows it is active, your Vizio TV will automatically log in. You should see your Instant Queue.
13) Exit the Netflix App, unplug the Ethernet cable, Turn Off your Vizio TV.
14) After 20 seconds or so (remember the TV is software driven), turn the TV back on and your WiFi should connect again.
15) Use your Netflix App and this time it should automatically connect via WiFi
note: just make sure that your wireless DSL/Cable Modem or Wireless Router is not blocking your WiFi connection request from the Vizio. You can check the connection status in the modem/router or in the Vizio in the HDTV Settings - Network.
