if it's a water proof watch or water resistant then yes it might use pressure instead of an O-Ring to seal the watch from letting water inside of it. And if thats the case the watch let water in like a sponge in the current state it is in. If i were you and the watch was that important to me, i would take and send it in. Watch battery's need replacing what every 5-8 years? Over that amount of time the price really isn't too steep.
What kind of battery did they put in it?? G shocks are powered by a rechargeable solar battery!!! Should not have been replaced unless it was the same type of battery. I would be going back to jeweler and asking them to send your watch to Casio and they pay for the new solar battery. Let me know what happens.
mcdevito75 here, Best Bet, look for a small watch repair shop in your area to cahnge the battery as any pressure on the display while changeing the battery on a Casio watch will break it.
mcdevito75 here, Best Bet, bring your casio to a small watch repair shop in your area, The LCD display can be ruined while replaceing the battery, useing to much pressure, Let the watch shop change the battery.
DONT THROW IT AWAY THAT IS A COLLECTORS ITEM... You can get it taken care of at www.casiowatchrepair.com or call them toll free 877.659.0761 and have them take care of it, the watch will be as good as new.
"AC" means All Clear. This terminal should be marked somehow. Use a magnifying glass to get a good look at what you are working on. My Casio had an arrow pointing to four copper leads. I used a paper clip to connect the AC terminal (I just picked one of the four) to the + side (usually the "up" side) for a couple seconds and my Casio Sea Pathfinder model 2273 powered right up.
