Can Get Windows Vista 64 or 32 booting

I bought a new hardware Everytime i try to install vista or windows XP gives me a Random Blue Screen, but some times when i accomplish the installation, (At minimun BIOS SEttings)

it wont Boot. and reports a checksum error.
or sometimes, NTOSKRN Corrupt other times NTDS.SYS corrupt, and keeps going on and on.

What it could be?

How long have you had the system in that configuration? It doesn't seem to be a heat issue running around 45 degrees unless that is the idle temp. I need you to try something, when it shuts down, immediately restart the system in bios and look at the temp for the processor again. I solved my issue by taking a side off of my case and putting a small desk fan blowing directly into it. My idle temp went from 45 down to 27 degrees celcius. In a perfect world, the cooler a CPU runs, the better the system will respond. Find those temps readings for me, and let me know. Also, there may be a small monotoring program in your mobo set up disc to help monitor the temp while windows is running. And also, double check to make sure your processor fan is plugged into the correct spot on the mobo, mine is mislabeled, another issue I had found and corrected.

Yes it is nothing to do with hardware problem of yours, here is a tip to install your windows xp on your ACER Extensa, but before that I tell you that your hard drive inside is Sata so this is the solution, go to your BIOS Setup and change the setting of your hard disk from SATA mode to IDE Mode, find it their., and have your installation with your new windows xp, trust me, good luck!

How to Install Window XP with Vista

If you wish to install Windows XP on a computer that comes with Windows Vista already installed then you will have to create a separate partition on your hard drive to install Windows XP onto. This effectively splits the hard drive into two, and keeps the different versions of Windows separate. To do this you need to open up the Computer Management screen by going to the Start menu and then right-clicking on Computer and selecting Manage.

From the Computer Management screen select Disk Management, right-click on your main hard disk where Windows Vista is installed and then select Shrink Volume. This opens up a window where you can choose how large you want the new drive partition for Windows XP to be. You need to select the size of the new partition carefully, as you will need enough space to be able to install Windows XP successfully (around 10 gigabytes) whilst leaving enough space for Windows Vista. After you have selected the appropriate amount of space click on the Shrink button to begin the process, and once that has completed you should be able to right-click on the new partition (which should be labelled “Unallocated free space”) and select New Simple Volume.

Follow the on-screen instructions to configure the partition, set a drive letter (such as E:\), give it a meaningful name such as “XP”, and then restart your computer. Whilst your computer reboots, access the BIOS and change to boot sequence to boot from your CD/DVD Drive before any other device, insert your Windows XP installation disc and then save and exit from BIOS. You will then be taken to the Windows XP installation program where you should follow the instructions until you come to the screen asking you which partition to install Windows XP to.

Make sure you select the new partition and not the one with Windows Vista installed, as this will cause problems. Once Windows XP has finished installing, you will notice that Windows XP loads up automatically, rather than giving you the choice of which operating system to use. To rectify this insert your Windows Vista installation disc and restart the computer to access the Windows Vista installation program. From the Install Now screen select Repair My Computer, and then select your Windows Vista installation and then Startup Repair. You will now be able to choose which operating system to use when your computer starts up.

Dual Boot problem in Windows XP & VISTA

Don't try to edit the xp boot.ini or the vista bootloader. It only leads to other problems and headaches.
Try this first: Take note as to which drive has vista on it, put your vista installation cd in the drive and let it boot to the "installation window", then choose "repair", then "startup repair." Make sure you choose the drive that already has vista on it. Let that run and when it re-boots you should then be given a choice to boot to vista or "other windows".
There is also a (free) program called EasyBCD. Download that, read the directions and have at it.
If none of that works, you'll have to do a clean install. Install XP on one drive first, then Vista on the second drive in that order. The Vista bootloader will pick up the XP. However, XP is NOT forward compatible and will not recognize the Vista bootloader. Make sure that you don't have any flashdrives or media cards plugged in before doing the install.
Another approach would be to shrink the Vista volume, creat a new partition, then install Linux Ubuntu that partition. Linux will detect all of the OS's and create a boot menu. Unfortunately, you'll lose about 5 gigs to the Linux OS and it's swap partition, but then, you get to goof around with Linux :-)

Two hard drives Vista and XP not booting

If you would like to start up in the xp ,At computer start up hit F1 or F2 there are so many ways some times its hold the del key ,once your into the BIOS you can change the boot order of your drives to make the drive xp is on load first .You will have to do this everytime or buy a program that will do it for you .I would just leave the power unpluged on one of the drives until you need it that way it will be safe from a virus or if you have a hard drive crash you always have one good drive .Hops this helps.

try to download belarc advisor software. Run this in your vista OS and send it to me so I can check your hardware specs. This is the only way to avoid problems in the future or before you start the formatting.

Not possible xp installation

How to Downgrade Vista to XP Downgrading from Windows Vista to Windows XP is almost like installing Windows XP for the first time. You should take all the normal precautions like backing up all your important files and record important passwords in a different place, preferably on a CD. When you downgrade from Windows Vista to XP, note that Windows Vista will be completely removed from your system.
(Note: There is a way to have both Vista and XP in a dual boot configuration, but that's an option for more advanced users. See Dual Booting Vista and XP for more info on that.)
Before you begin the XP installation, make sure that the necessary XP hardware drivers are available, or included on the XP disk provided by your PC vendor. If in doubt, check the vendor's website or poke around with your favorite search engine to see if others have attempted the XP install on the same hardware. You may be able to install XP without all the needed drivers, but some hardware may not work afterwards.
Also, make sure that you have a genuine Windows XP CD before you begin the downgrade. Be sure to read the section earlier in this article to see if you qualify for a low/no cost XP recovery disk from your PC vendor. If not, perhaps you have an XP disc that came with another computer. If you've upgraded an existing computer from XP to Vista, the best choice would be the XP install/recovery disc that came with that computer. One some PC's the vendor doesn't ship a CD, but the recovery CD can be created from disk images on the hard drive. If all else fails, you can always buy a copy of Windows XP on Ebay. Just be sure it's a legal, licensed copy.
Follow these steps to install Windows XP on your Vista machine:

Insert your Windows XP install/recovery CD and restart your computer.
Install Windows XP normally, providing either the product key that came with the disk, or the one you got from Microsoft customer support. If the installer warns you that another copy of Windows is already installed, don't worry. Remember, this install will wipe out your existing Vista installation.
Activate your copy of Windows XP when it prompts you to do so. If you run into the "already activated" problem, you can use the option to activate by phone.
If you own Vista Business or Vista Ultimate, explain to the rep that you want to use your Downgrade Rights to install XP Pro.
If you own Vista Home Basic/Premium, or you are installing XP Home Edition, don't mention ANYTHING about Vista. Just give the rep your XP product key (not the Vista key), explain that you are installing XP on a new hard drive, and tell them you need to activate.

Acer Aspire 5050 Won't Boot.

Your problem could be windows vista isnot installed properly
i assume in the beginning, your laptop come with windows xp.
if you want to go back to windows xp, you can still use alt+f10, as long as you don't delete the recover partition.
Just boot and press Alt+F10, it'll give you recover screen.
