here is the basic vga pinout

Hi lantzgema,
I looked up the specs of your d530 and all I could find out is that you have a 150 power supply, calling HP technical support was no help at all.
I did find some pinouts you can look at and determine which one exactly you have. Hope this help out.

I have an old pc chips M575 motherboard that also uses the J3 ATX Form card. I can only assume the pinouts are the same so here they are from the manual.

Pins 1-4 and 10- 13 are USB connectors
USB USB
Pin Description Pin Description
1 +5v 10 +5v
2 data- 11 data-
3 data+ 12 data+
4 ground 13 ground

Pins 5-6 and 15-16 are PS/2 Mouse Connector
Pin description
5 +5v
6 Mouse CLK
15 Mouse Data
16 ground

Pins 7-9 and 17-18 are Infrared connector
Pin description
7 Ground
8 Reserved
9 +5v
17 IR in
18 IR out

Pin 3 - Blue Signal
Pin 6 - Red Ground
Pin 7 - Green Ground
Pin 8 - Blue Ground
Pin 10- Horizontal Ground
Pin 11- Vertical Ground
Pin 13- Horizontal Signal
Pin 14- Vertical Signal
