If you pc is beeping when you turn it is most likely one or both (if you have 2) ram chips that have gone bad. Best way to check is to shut down, unplug pc, hold power button for a few seconds, open case and remove 1 chip (if you have more than 1), turn pc on if you still have at least 1 ram chip installed. if it does not beep you have taken the bad one out. If it beeps then shut down again and put ram back in and take out the other one. Turn on pc, hopefully this will resolve the problem.
to reset an ipod you flip the hold switch on the back off then hold the middle button and play/pause button at then same time until you see the apple logo. a reset is the only thing you can do besides letting the battery drain. (this happened to me also i suspected a certain song of causing it if it happens again try to recall the song playing) also i would clear the ipods music and re-sync it
Try and unplug your set from the wall for about 15 minutes and see if it will reset like that. If not unplug it again and then hold the power button down. This sometimes may work.
Have you already attempted to reset the iPod? If not you will want to attempt that as your first step towards resolving this issue. To do so you will need to simply press and hold both the center and menu buttons for at least ten seconds or until the apple icon appears on the screen. If this does not resolve your issue please do let me know.
Capacitors hold a charge for a short time. This may be the sound you are hearing. Even with out the UPS the Monitor will probably make the same sound when turned off. Unless it is getting louder, it is nothing to worry about.
Just be sure you turn the monitor off BEFORE the UPS. :)
This sounds obvious, but the system volume could be down. Go to the System Preferences, and select "Sound". Make sure the output voumne is turned up, and the mute is not on.
If that doesn't work you could try "zapping the pram".
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound again. Continue this until you hear the startup sound four times.
Button Beeps
Every time you press a button on the front of your radio, it beeps unless you turn
Button Beeps Off. To turn Button Beeps Off, turn your radio On while you press and
hold the minus (-). To turn Button Beeps back On, turn the radio Off and then back On again
while you press and hold the minus (-) . On is the Default setting.
