KV36XBR450 Sony My Sony TV when I tried to turn on I hear a thump noise and a click, after that two more clicks and a red standby light comes on at the front of the tv, tv stays black; if try it again you hear no thump noise only a click and two more and goes into standby red light on again. Please help.

Did you try repairing the PS with a repair kit first then replace both the boards after that?

Take it to ur dealer to help change the power point or do it urself it v.easy....

If the red light is blinking in front that sasy lamp. Your lamp needs to be replaced. They cost about $100.00 at your TV Fix It shop. Very easy to replace yourself

Look for loose contacts in power outlet. Try the TV on some other power outlet. There could also be a problem with the power cord.

TV needs lamp replacement as existing lamp got weak or has been reached to end of its working life, please note that lamp is not dead or broken so that is why lamp lit is not lit at tv front.

u need to change the lamp...same thing happened to me then i bought a lamp on ebay for $75n replaced it n now it works fine

this is almost certainly a ht proplem chech ht transistor by removal then turn tv on it should if so replace transistor be carfull high voltage may be still present on capacitors
