Model Kenmore Coldspot model 51572200 The Door Water dispensor is leaking all over the floor. I would like to avoid a costly repair by fixing it myself but can't figure out where the leak is origninating as I can't see the cutoff mechanism. It doesn't seem to be the filter as per the troubleshooting I removed the filter and then ran it to clear out air bubbles. With a pregnant wife I need to get the water and the ice working again. Would love some advice.
On the bottom rear of the refrigerator as you are looking at it from behind the left side where the water is feeding into there should be a double valve. 1 is for the water and the other to the icemaker. Many times that valve won't shut off, however the switch that dispenses the water is evidentially bad and needs to be checked if it is stuck open.
