Panasonic KX-T7331 I need to reset a voice mail password but i do not have the current password. How can i over ride this?

If it's a Panasonic TVx voice mail system, your system owner can change the password from Mailbox 999. It's something like option 4 then 3 which resets password in mailbox ***.

In most TD systems, the voice mail has an access code of 165. The owner of the system (mailbox 999) can reset any password by following the prompts.

If that voice mail is associated with a TVA voice mail system, your system owner can reset your password from mailbox 999. If it's from an (E)SVM, you have no password, but a walking COS password and that's a whole other thing.

You log into the system owner's mailbox (999) and follow the prompts to edit the mailboxes. One of them will let you reset the password.

The override comes from the Voice Mail System owner logging into mailbox 999 and resetting the extension password.

There are 2 passwords in a Panasonic TD station, the Electronic Station Lock or the voice mail password.
Your system manager or attendant can unlock all stations from the main phone. The procedure is not available in a public forum such as this.

Panasonic voicemail passwords can be reset by the VM system owner from mailbox 999. That box can reset each mailbox password.

If it's a Panasonic brand voice mail, you administer the system from the System Owner's mailbox (999). With that, you can use option 4 or 5 and reset the mailbox password to any and all mailboxes (except 999 :-)

It depends on what you mean by "can't access". The Panasonic voice mail system is accessed by dialing the VM access code, sometimes 500 or 165, from the phone you want to use. If you, for example, are extension 105, and it has a voice mail box, the lady will either tell you how many messages you have, or ask for a password. If that's how you can't access VM because you don't have a password, then the password can be reset from mailbox 999, the system administrator's mailbox.

There are two passwords YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO HAVE. If you don't know the passwords to 998 and 999, then you will have to get them from the original installer, or call your Panasonic dealer. Alternatively, if you have the VM maintenance console password, you can reset 998 and 999's password.

There are two extra mailboxes in a Panasonic brand voice mail, one for the message manager and one for the sytsem manager.
You reset passwords from the system manager's mailbox. Dial into the system and key in the codes to get to the system manager's mailbox. and select option 6 1 1 and the mailbox number. One of the options will be to reset the password :-)
