I want to take off the base of my flat screen tv.

Panasonic flat panel televisions are packaged with a small television stand that users can attach to place the television on a flat surface. Some users, after attaching the stand, would prefer to hang the television on a wall instead. If the stand is still attached to the Panasonic TV, you cannot hang the television on the wall. Remove the stand from the TV to hang it on a wall.
Step 1
Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet and lay the television, screen down, on a towel. The towel helps prevent damage to the screen. Step 2
Remove the four retaining screws that secure the stand from the bottom of the television using the Phillips screwdriver. Step 3
Slide the stand out of the television. Place the stand and the screws in a safe place in the event you change your mind and decide to set up the television on the stand again. The television is now ready for hanging on a wall.

You can buy universal stands, I use MCM electronics but there are many others to chose from.

Lay the tv screen facing down on something soft like your sette or bed so the base is hanging over the edge.
At the back you should see screws on the base, if not visible they will be under a cover which should prise off

About the only hope here is Philips or even EBAY.

first get a wall mount kit. ikea sells them cheaply.

there should be 4 screw holes on the back of the screen. screws goes in there.

first drill 2 holes on the wall
mount the ikea kit using expanding bolt
then screw in the ikea kit on the monitor
just hang the monitor on the wall side.


but..... 15 inch is a bit smallish for wall mount... dont ya think?

Place the TV on a flat bed preferably your mattress and look for the base mountings. The lock and base mount can be slid off and you can use a good wall mount that will support the weight to be fitted.

Toshiba has about six screws holding the base legs on remove them and pull the base straight down till the legs come out all the way

hi most of the time ur screen sits on 2 bolts coming from the base and screen sits on top.....
if u cant find it go in contact with PROSCAN and they will help u to get it off

I need to know how to take off the base of my westinghouse flat screen. (42") That way I can hang it into the wall.

The base removes with the support arms that rise the height of the tv. remove all the screws from the back of the support arms and the base will slide out with the arms. you will need the holes open to mount to the wall mount
