Is the vertical output IC circuits replaceable or repairable? What could have caused this problem? Thank you for your time.

It also depends whether you have a cable box and a sound system connected to the television, I don't know exactly why this happens but that can definitely be the problem. Good luck.

SOURCE: vertical line on my 46" toshiba lcd tv

The only logical solution for the problems people are having for the toshiba regza's tv's is to get into a class action law suite..., they contiue to sell tv's with defective parts and refuse to help the customer that spent large cash to find out they last if your lucky 2.5 years, they are junk and anyone with one will soon find out./.......

Toshiba 32sl410u have 2 vertical lines on screen

Likely a shop repair but:

Either a bad board (main, or power or even a inverter board)

Worst case if Black line and thick would be the panel (screen unit) which would be fatal but is not likely if lines not black.

Vertical lines and shadows appear until LCD warms up. can I fix this myself ? with a new LCD panel assembly

Hello,

All Plasma and LCD TV have boards that control vertical and horizontal output to their respective areas. They are connected to the screen by ribbon cables. If one of these boards fails all together, has a failed chip, a bad connection, or a bad ground somewhere it will result in a black line in the area of that board. A bad ribbon cable connection on the bottom will result in a vertical black bar though the screen. Many times resetting the connection will fix it, if the ribbon cable has been nicked there could be a severed connection. They an sometimes be fixed, but it is a pain. An yes I have done it, but the bar is gone. The same will happen if the chip that outputs to that area opens. The connectors are the first place to look paying close attention to the cable, they are extremely delicate so great care must be taken.

I hope this will help in handling the problem.....
