Blue screen appears when I instal Microsoft nx-6000 cam

hi adrian,

thank you for using fixya.

you may have encountered that blue screen of death error because of an IRQ conflict. this cane be caused by a conflicting resource for computer components. much like 1 car battery being used by 2 cars at the same time.

o have this resolved, it is best that you have the camera replaced with another model or you can try to remove other USB devices plugged into your computer until you find out what is causing the error message or the conflict to your new Life Cam.\

hope this helps.

regards.

Microsoft live webcam shows error msg

I have a Work-A-Round so that the end result will provide both sound and
Video using the LifeCam NX-6000 with Windows Live on a
Windows Vista ULtimate 64 bit system, please post your system if
this solution works for you.

I guessed that the error messages, the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH, and
a long list of conflicts that I discovered with this camera shown that
the sound was conflicting with the video.

Overview
I used manycam for the video and I configured Windows Live to handle sound.
I assume that you can get it to work as long as you split the video and sound
on two different programs.

What I did
I installed the vista driver
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/DownloadResult.aspx?category=ICE&type=Webcams&name=NX6000&os=WVista_32&lang=en
I installed windows live 8.1 (I did configure until after ManyCams)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=d78f2ff1-79ea-4066-8ba0-ddbed94864fc&displaylang=en
I installed ManyCams
ManyCam Virtual Webcam 2.3.21
http://www.download.com/ManyCam-Virtual-Webcam/3000-2348_4-10593500.html

Configuration
I started ManyCams and configured it to (optionally start on boot) and to
USE LIFECAM NX-6000 as the source.
I then started Windows 8.1 Start > Tools > Audio and Video setup
and configured it to use my
(1) speakers for output sound (Realtek HD Audio) [next]
(2) Microphone Microsoft Lifecam NX-6000 [next]
(3) ManyCam Virtual Webcam [finish]

Reboot, start ManyCam and then start Windows live.

If your still having issues, you may try to disable this service and try again
using the following instructions.
start -> run -> services.msc
then go to Messenger Sharing Folders USN Journal Reader service
click on proprieties and disable it

Ok, thats is what I did and I truly hope that it helps you.

Actually, I don't have a full solution.
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/wlmessengerdev/thread/f4a9753b-83ee-4d96-b365-70da8d2c86e8
States the following:
start -> run -> services.msc
then go to Messenger Sharing Folders USN Journal Reader service
click on proprieties and disable it
Ok, My BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH is gone and the Initiation error, but
I have to you my headset as the sound doesn't work with my Lifecam NX 6000.

I have a UPDATED Vista Ultimate 64 bit system on a EVGA motherboard.

IF Microsoft can't get their stuff working easy on my new 3000 buck 64 bit system
it is know wonder that most of my other aplications won't run on Vista 64 bit either.

P.S. Does anyone want to buy a $3000.00 buck paper weight?

Fuzzy picture

1.check cam is jammed
2.check whether the drivers are installed properly
3.check the USB adapter cable
4.Remove cam .plug and install proper driver.
5.Check Video settings to default values
6. Else camera-video signal processing circuit might be damaged
thank you !
