How do I delete pictures?

Different cameras have different ways of deleting pictures. Usually there is a way to view the pictures you have taken on the camera screen and then when you find a picture that you would like to delete, you have to press a delete button (maybe a button with a trash can on it). If you tell me the camera model, I can explain exactly how to delete pictures. Of course you can always insert the memory card in your computer and delete the pictures from there. If you need more help, let me know!

It should be said again, people should more often backup their valuable data.

If the pictures were on the camera's memory card and if they were automagically
deleted after an amount of 300 pictures, the memory card or the camera is faulty.
Place a new memorycard into the camera and format it, than test of it will then
work correctly. If not, the camera is probably faulty.

When overwriting the memorycard with other pictures, the older deleted ones are
gone forever and cannot being recovered.

Have you read your manual? To view your pics, just press the right facing arrow button. To delete one, just press the button with the garbage can icon and follow the on-screen instructions.

To delete pictures....Use the right arrow button to highlight the the check mark that is on the left side of the screen & then press the red big red x button on the camera.

There is a button with a picture of a garbage can...this is the delete button and it works in review mode when you're looking at the pictures you've taken. Bring up the picture you want to delete and press that button...follow the on-screen instructions.

Connect camera to computer,
delete the directory DCIM.
Empty trash.

i just had this problem too! the way i fixed it was to:
press the review button click the menu (center) button go all the way to the right side "settings" area (a little cogged wheel and wrench) format the camera ---> yes reset the camera ---> yes
make sure you don't have any valuable pictures still on the camera, because this will delete them, override any of your previous settings (like no sound, or different sounds) and basically reset the camera to original factory settings. 
this worked for me, so i hope it will work for you, too!
