Fuel needs to be mixed with 2 stroke oil at a ratio of 50:1
50 parts fuel to 1 part oil.
Also it requires 'chain oil' used as a lubricant and bar coolant, this goes in the tank beneath the exhaust.

What is the gas/oil ratio for this chainsaw? Is synthetic oil okay to use in it?

Generally 2 stroke engines work on a ratio of 50:1
100ml of 2 stroke oil in 5L of petrol.
Use good quality 2 stroke engine oil for the mixture, Stihl and Husqvarna both have high quality engine oils, designed for more efficient lubrication and emissions quality.

In the Mix
All STIHL gasoline-powered equipment uses a 50:1 gasoline/oil mixture. The chart below can help you figure out the correct measurements to use. For high-performance fuel that requires no mixing, choose STIHL MotoMix® premixed fuel.

How do I change a chain on a Stihl ms 210?

Take off the side cover at the base and loosen the tension screw. Blade should slip off. Make sure when you replace it, you do not tighten it too far.

What kind of oil and gas mixture to I use for my stihl kombi?

When you buy the 5L of unleaded Petrol (the same as a car uses), mix with the recommended amount of 2 stroke Stihl oil as marked on the container that the Stihl 2 stroke oil comes in.
Do not use any make of oil other than Stihl or Husqvarna 2 Stroke. I have come across so many people who have tried to cut corners by buying cheaper oil. If you are asking the question you are obviously not going to use the saw to cut down hundreds of trees so for a few pence/cents more for each fill, give the saw the best chance to last.
I always mix the can with 2 stroke oil as soon as I arrive home from the petrol station and MARK the can very obviously as 2 stroke. If you don't use the mixture within 1 month, it is a good idea to use it up in your garden mower. That is as long as the mower does not have a catalytic converter. It will work fine on the very weak oil mixture that modern saws require.

Husqvarna 55 1997 7351593 whatis the oil to gas mixture

The mixture is 40:1 that is 40 parts petrol to 1 part 2 stroke oil. Use good quality 2 stroke oil, e.g. Husqvarna or Stihl, rather than the cheap stuff you get at car service stations. This will prolong the life of your chainsaw.

Stihl 026 chainsaw... bogs down when giving it gas. Removed the breather and helped a little, but still bogs down under a load.

Probably need to adjust the high and low speed settings on the carburetor.
See your owners manual for location and adjustment procedures.

What type oil for chainsaw, both w/gas for fuel and also chain lubrication

You mix 2 stroke oil with the petrol/gas at a rate of 40:1 (40 parts petrol to 1 oil). For longer life use a good quality oil like Husqvarna or Stihl rather than the cheaper types you buy at car service stations.

The oil you use for the chain lubrication is just known as chain oil and can be bought at tool hire outlets.

Need to know the oil to gas ratio for a 056 stihl chainsaw?

Stihl chainsaws are 1:50 oil to gas ratio. Make sure you use good high-quality 2-stroke oil, preferably that which is made by Stihl.

I have an old model 1975 , what miks petrol/oil is right.

Fuel/Oil Mixture
  1. Use a quality 2 cycle oil and mix it to the OIL supplier's recommended ratio. Today I use Stihl 2 cycle oil mixed @ 50:1 in a Pioneer that I purchased new in 1980. There are no gouges or scratches on the piston or cylinder and I have no carbon build up on the piston top. The manual (on stone tablets) recommends 24:1. Over the years the mixture has leaned from 24:1 (Saw Recommendation) to 28:1 (Lawn boy mower recommendation) to 32:1 (Oil provider 2gal premium/8oz chainsaw 2-cycle engine oil - used for many years) and finally the last 5 (±) years 50:1 (1gal premium/2.6oz Stihl 2-cycle engine oil)
  2. Any fuel containing ethanol is not good with chainsaws. Mix what you expect to use within a few weeks. Anything over 1.5 months old use up in a 4 cycle engine. HTH
