The most common one is the yo-yo adapter which came with the ibook,it's a silver disk with a cord to plug in to the wall,and one for the ibook,the later models were a white square with an apple logo. either one will work as long as it is designed for an ibook g3/g4 and is 45w or higher.

I use the Apple 45W Power Adapter that came with my iBook, it kinda looks liek two different types of cords stuck together with a UFO. I'm showing model # M7332. I hope this helps :)

It's probably too old to use the current protocol of your wireless network. The G3 has been abandoned hardware for at least 7-8 years.

I had this problem with a G3 ibook. All our other laptops and desktops were fine but the old G3 was left w/o a connection. I did install an older wifi router that was pre G3 type and put it in line with the other modem via an ethernet cable from the normal router e-net port to the internet e-net port on the older style router... now eveyone can access w/o issue. This may be the reason for your prob, too.

Will the Microsoft Lifecam vx-5000 work with iBook apple?
The lifecam is compatible with 10.4 and 10.5. Your clamshell may be able to run 10.4 but it would need Firewire and 256mb of ram along with 15gb of free HD space. Then you'll need to get the CD or DVD.

like the other person said,just boot from an os installer cd and do a clean install,it should completely wipe out any locks. when booted from the cd,go to the utilities folder on the disk and choose disk setup and reformat your hard drive,then do a clean install.
