i had the same problem, it locked by itself, On the right side of the yp-p2 there are two bottons (see picture) one to put it on and the other on top("hold" word is on it)
I pushed the on botton until i saw the lock in the screen and then i swiped my finger up to the hold button and it started working again.
Select the Downloads tab and next Firmware.
Under Description look for the word Games. For Win XP / Vista there's
a zip file available (firmware at least upgraded to version 5.08).
Download the zip file "20080717110554593_Games_worldwide.zip":
right click on the file and
next select "Save target as..."
How to upgrade / reinstall the firmware upgrade, go to next link: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/FM/200905/20090507111626062/SW_Upgrade_instruction.pdf
ATM im having alot of problems with videos on my P2, originally when i first bought it, i am pretty sure it played almost every format, MP4 to flv, but not for sum unknown reason it doesnt, and even the software emodio, (which is ****) wont even recognise these videos and when it does it doesnt even transfer into the emodio library. Really ticking me off. P2=great but there is a few teething problems that you dont get with ipods.
It is possible to download text files onto the Samsung Yp-P2.
You can use the Samsung Media Studio to download the document onto the device. The only format I know works for sure is *.txt, haven't tried other formats
