It's a supply reel fault. I kid you not, the cure is to give it a REASONABLY FORCEFUL open-handed slap on the tape side. it may take a couple of tries but it works about 95% of the time.
C:31:23 s reel error try to change the tape, actually this problem is related to the tension ,new tape have more tension as compared to the old one(used one).
Hi, This error shows that the problem is in mechanical section of the tape loading path. Please contact an expert for mechanical adjustment Thanks for using fixya.
it is a typically seems like LENS problem lens got weak and unable to record have u changed recording media tried several dvd -rw or dvd-r what are the results , can u see the lens with ur eyes if yes u can clean it with very soft cloth used to clean lcd's see if it works , other wise buy a mini dvd cleaner with brush on it may be it helps in this situtation other wise the whole lens will be replaced but this is too much for that 170 , pls try the solutions and let me know ,, do try the lens cleaning thing it works in some cases
i also don't think it has to do with taking the disc out since i did that with a new disc and it still works. i am unable however to view my data on the disc where the error 'movie recording disabled' appears--and it sounds like some of you can view the data. i'm wondering if my whole disc is bad?
I have been fighting the same problem. I just now picked up the camera and a small rubber roller fell out of the tape door area. I was not sure where it came from but looking closer there are 4 small rods sticking up on the right side inside the area where the tape is located. It looked like this was where the roller went so I placed it on the center rod and replaced the tape. This solved the problem and I am now able to view and recored as before. There most likely is a part that has either fell or broken off or is loose inside the tape area.
I have the same problem and need help, Please help
