I bought the freezer in 1996, but over the past few years, we have had lots of frost build up inside. Sometimes it happens overnight. When cleaning this last time, we noticed the bottom of the door seal was hanging off. After cleaning and properly resetting the door seal in the groove, it appears that the top of the door only mostly seals after pushing ******* the top of the door. I remember when I first bought the freezer there was what sounded like a vacuum fan kick on when the door closed to tightly seal the door. I have not heard that sound in many years and I am thinking that may be the missing link to sealing the door completely and eliminating the frost problem. Any suggestions??? Thanks.

Although you say the seal is fine, this is almost certainly due to air getting in. With the door closed check that there isn't a tiny gap with a strip of thin card or plastic. Of course if air is getting in then it must also be getting out somewhere else so probe all around the seal.

The door seal is at fault. Regardless of the small tear it is not sealing well.
Take a dollar bill and close it in the door. Then pull on the bill to feel resistance.
You will find it pulls easily in some place. That is where your air leak is that is causing the condensation.
Do this about every 6 inches all the way around the seal.

check gromets on hinges for wear. check weight on doors is it causing the door to droop? are the gaskets cracked? more information is needed if possible.

the frost buildup is entirely due to badly fitting seals, its also costing you a fortune to run it.A 5 sided cube is easily adjusted by using a spirit level and spacers under the feet/wheels(if fitted)once adjusted the lid should fit square.otherwise check the hinges for adjustment.
WHEN FITTED/INSTALLED CORRECTLY, THE LID SITS TIGHT ALL ROUND,NO AIR GAPS.....
