If your printer does not have a duplex unit then the printercannot print double sided pages automatically.
You can print double sided pages but you have to do it one page at a time.
First print Page 1 then place the page back into the paper tray, but turn thepage upside down and the print Page 2.
Then print page 3 on one side then page 4 on the other side and repeat for therest of the document.
I suggest you try a test page first, to get the printing the right way up onboth sides of the page so it reads correctly.

How do i get my hp officejet j6480 all in one scan both sides and print

To automatically scan and print, you need to use the automatic document feeder (for letter-sized documents) and have the HP Automatic Two-sided Printing Accessory installed.

Then to use the duplex printing feature, you need to set the printer properties to use the duplex feature. In Windows, open a document to print then click on File Print. Choose Setup and then Properties or Preferences (depending on your OS). Then click on the Features tab and set Two-sided Printing to Automatic. (This is a drop-down menu on the Features tab.)

You also need to set the scan settings for two-sided in the HP Solution Center. (If you just want to copy the document, you can set this from the Control Panel on the J4680.)

If you want to do this manually, you can scan each side of the pages. Then print them one page at a time. Then when the ink is dry, put the page back into the paper tray. (Note: this could result in paper jams.) The printer prints on the underside of each page put into the paper tray with the top of the page printing on the forward part of the page.

I hope this helps.

I have a lexmark x6570 printer it will not print on both sides of the paper anymore it use to print on one side then pull the paper back in as use the other side

Please follow steps below on how to print 2-sided on your printer:
Printing on both sides of the paper (duplexing) automatically:
  1. Press printmastert_76.jpg.
  2. With a document open, click File > Print.
  3. Click Properties, Preferences, Options, or Setup.
  4. Click the Print Layout tab
  5. From the Duplexing area, select Use Printer Settings from the drop-down box.
  6. Make sure the printmastert_77.jpg light is on.
  7. Click OK to close any printer software dialogs that are open.

Printing on both sides of the paper (duplexing) manually:
  1. With a document open, click File > Print.
  2. Click Properties, Preferences, Options or Setup.
  3. Click the Print Layout tab.
  4. From the Duplexing area, select Manual from the drop-down box.
  5. Select the Print manual duplex instructions check box.
  6. Press Start.
  7. The printer prints the odd-numbered pages and the instruction sheet, which describes how to flip and reload the paper.
  8. Following the instruction sheet, flip and reload the paper with the printed side facing away from you.
  9. The printer then prints the even-numbered pages on the reverse sides of the odd-numbered pages, completing the two-sided sheets.
Note:
  • printmastert_78.jpg button is not functional with a Macintosh operating system. You can print two-sided documents with a Macintosh operating system by using the settings in the Two-Sided menu of the Print dialog.
  • Automatic two-sided printing (duplexing) works only with plain paper in letter and A4 sizes. If you want to print two-sided documents on another size or type of paper, use the manual duplexing method.
  • To return to single-sided printing, make sure the printmastert_79.jpg light is not on.

Can not print in duplex mode I can not print

Why don't you just print the data on the one side of the page and then simply turn the page over and reinsert it into the paper feeder and then print the next bit of data, therfore you end up with both sides of the page printed without worrying about printer commands that seem to fail.

How to set a MG5220 printer to do 2-sided copies?

The Canon MG5220 has a built-in auto duplexer and can print 2-sided documents. On a Mac, click print, and in the print dialog box select Duplex Printing & Margins (drop down options below Printer and Presets). Check the Duplex Priting box, and selected the Stapling side. Then click Print. That's it!!

How to get a Canon MG5220 printer to print 2-sided copies

If you have a Canon MG5220 you certainly can print two-sided. I have one and I print two=sided pages. When you bring up your print menu underneath "Orientation" is a small window that likely says "layout". Click that window and you will have various options to choose from; color matching, paper handling, cover page, quality media color options. borderless printing and duplex printing & margin. Choose Duplex & Margin. Once you've clicked that you'll see a check box for duplex printing, click that box. You have other options for for reduced or normal printing (your choice) and then if you're stapling there's options for the side you'd prefer but the point is once you've checked off that box for duplex printing you're set to go.

Can you doubleside print on an HP 2600n? If so, how?

You can but it would have to a manual. Meaning you print out the document and load it into the manual feeder to print the other side.
Your installed driver should support duplex printing so once the document print on the one side the machine will prompt you to place the document in the manual feed tray.

Does the Lexmark X9575 print automaticly 2 sided with no manual feed. I have a 15 page document doulbe sided. How do I print this without babysitting the printer. Thank you

Your model supports automatic duplex printing using letter and A4 sizes ONLY. If you want to print two-sided documents on another type or size of paper, use the manual duplexing method.

1) With a document open, click "File" > "Print..."
2) Click "Properties" or "Preferences" or "Options" or "Setup" depending on your system
3) Click the "Advanced" tab
4) From the "2-Sided Printing" area, select the 2-Sided Printing option and then select either the "Sideflip" or "Topflip" option (sideflip is the setting most often used)
5) From the drop-down box, select Automatic.
6) You will see an "Extend dry time" option, which allows extra drying time between sides when you are printing on both sides of the paper. The Automatic 2-Sided Printing option affords enough time for the ink to dry on supported paper types in average air humidity. Under conditions of high humidity, or if the normal drying time does not allow the ink to dry completely, you should select Extend dry time.
7) Click <OK> to close any printer software dialogs that are open. This will take you back to the General Print screen.
8) Click "Print"

Note: To return to single-sided printing, return to the Advanced tab. From the 2-Sided Printing area, clear the 2-Sided Printing check box.
