I log into yahoo account and it comes up showing emails...click on them to open and receive these error messages: name: Type Error; message: 'gExtContent' is undefined; number: -2146823279; description: 'gExtContent' is undefined.
The 2nd one is: message: object required; number: -2146827864; description: object required. I click "OK" on both and the page goes blank and says "loading" top left of screen but nothing ever happens. I have 2 other email accounts and can access those fine. ANy help would be HUGE. Thank you!
I receive the same error message. I know that it is because I changed over to BT Yahoo Email set up but now I cannot get back to my emails page to reverse back to Classic Yahoo Email page. Also, the email that Anaaymous included would not connect? Now what? I receive the same error message. Someone hacked into my email account. I have reset my email password and tried getting into my settings but when I click the gear icon nothing will happen. Also the compose, mail, and other icons below wont show up when I click them. The information in my contacts and emails are important so this is important that I retrieve this email. I thought of forwarding the emails to another account but still I can't get into my settings. Someone HELP!!Someone hacked into my email account. This may sound absurd but you're logged into yahoo mail but was staring at the in-box for hours because you can't access your in-box or you simply can't open those emails even though you're almost there looking at email previews.
No matter how you try to open the in-box folder, you simply can't access it or you're too close to reading the email by clicking on the preview link but it just wouldn't open and all you see is a blank screen.
Generally, we access our email via yahoo's web interface or sometimes we do it from yahoo messenger window when new email alters come. Whichever way we do it, we cannot always assume that since yahoo is a large company, we definitely won't get server errors. In fact, if you happen to have used an extension from firefox that could determine web servers, I've noticed that local yahoo mails are sometimes hosted somewhere else, like for example, Singapore for some parts of Asia.
Have you ever tried accessing your yahoo mail via IM and were able to run into any of the problems stated above? Then you don't really have to uninstall or remove the messenger or clear your proxy settings in case you're using one. There glitches sometimes occur but that doesn't mean your account has been compromised. It's also cumbersome to delete your account then create a new one just to get away from this hassle.
You may try logging out then clear your cache or refresh/restart browser then logging in again. In my experience, I even switched browsers but if the problem persists, don't log out but open this link.
http://wap.oa.yahoo.com/
As you can see, it's a yahoo mobile interface but it surely works like magic although there's no way you can log out from it, simply close the browser window whenever you're done reading your emails while you still can't access your mails using the normal site.
Also, pictures are not viewable using the link, only pure texts from the email will appear.

There have been problems with accessing yahoo email accounts from several areas. This is because your current network service provider could hardly connect to yahoo's email server's and vice versa. Can you try logging into http://wap.yahoo.com
This is yahoo's alternative site to check email. Click on the Email link on the upper right corner of the site and login your username and password.
first go to yahoo.com(or other if you have account there) sign in with your email ([email protected]) the write your password(*******) click sign in then click Inbox here you have all the email you receive click on one of then then you can read it.
Error Code 1
Most likely this is temporary issue that will soon resolve itself.
"Error Code 1" is generally caused from having multiple browser windows
open or multiple tabs within the same browser open to your Yahoo! Mail
service.
If you are still receiving the error code, please try the following:
Most of the people having the same problem this week full the problem is You can log into your eMail account but the inbox-page does not load properly and turns up completely blank.
It is still possible to access your eMails, even though in a very minimalistic way.
Log in and then use the following link. It's a text-based inbox, yet better than nothing:

Hope that helps and keep your fingers crossed that yahoo! will fix this problem soon
Go to your Yahoo email account and look at the right of the screen, next to where your name shows up (it says "Hi, [your_name]!"). To the right of your name is a tiny link that says "sign out." Click this, and you should be able to log into your new account.
Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. Suggested cures range from Update Adobe Flash Player and Java script to clear IE7 cache, cookies, and browsing history. Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send receive delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP. If all else fails go back to classic mail via this link. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?s... click yes when asked do you want to opt out.
try this
right-click the menu bar and check 'Web assistant'. the Web assistant should now be showing on the tool bar. click on it and uncheck 'Block ads on this site'. this works for me in yahoo mail and also solved a problem i was having with my website's webmail account (MailEnable WebMail).
if this solve your problem, please rate the answer
