I think fault is in electrolyte capacitor.You should check the supply volt of cathode & all relative component of RGB input.

Sony has unique code for all equipments, those are 0000, and 0111, if doesn't work with your tv the problem it is on the remote control.

If TV does not remain in standby and turns on itself then power switch on top of it could be defective and power supply board is also suspected. Take off its back cover and unplug top switch connector just to confirm is that cause of On-Off its own. If problem still exist then power supply board has problem and will be replaced. it sounds like your back light might be going out. You might be able to fix this by installing a new backlight inverter board.
