I'm not too sure about this particular model, but other Regency variations require you to push the "Manual" button, enter the channel number you want to set (usually 01-09 for single digits) and then enter the frequency you want. On some you may need to enter the frequency first and then the channel number.

How do I program a regency uhf/vhf c403 scanner

Is this a Regency ACT-c403? If so, it is not programmable. It uses crystals to receive the frequencies. This type of antique scanner would be fun for us "old guys" to own, but has no real value. It is something I call bragging rights to own older radios, etc. Fun to talk about over coffee.
Here is a list:

This is not my product I have a Rca four band scanner (old) model # 16S400 need a manual for programming freq

The RCA 16S400 is not a programmable scanner. Rather, it's an old (70's) crystal-based scanner that requires one crystal for each frequency. It covers the VHF-low, VHF-high, and UHF bands, and utilizes Regency type crystals. You can do a Google or Yahoo search for the crystals, but eBay is probably the best, and lowest priced source.

I have an Old Regency Toutch K 100 20 CH S1&S2 S1 is 1-10 CH ?? S2 Ch 11-20 is that correct?? or do you also use CH 1- 10 on S2 ??? What is a Code '' d '' It will not scan all 20 Ch only S2, and not...

The K100 is an oldie from about 1980, when Regency was still manufacturing some radios in the USA and importing some from Japan. Below is a link to the manual for the K500, which had more channels & features than the 100, but was a similar radio. There is currently an eBay listing for the K100 manual (pdf) if you want to spend a few bucks.

Does a Regency Toutch K 100 20 channels S1&S2 Does it scan all 20 ch at the same time, S1- ch 1 S2 ch 11- 12 Etc??, what is a d code mean?

Your Regency scans (samples) the programmed frequencies at the rate of approximately 15 channels per second, so it is constantly checking for an active frequency. "D-code" code refer to any of a number of things. Do you have the term in context?

How do I program a Regency Z30 scanner?

To program the Regency Z30

1. Press "MANUAL"
2. Enter the frequency you want, example 162.475
3. Press "ENTER"
The display will show "Ch_" with the _ (underscore) flashing
4. Enter the number of the channel where you want to store the frequency.
Note: channels 1 thru 9 must have a zero before them, example 01, 02,........ 09
If you want to add more frequencies at this time, got to step 2.

To lock out a channel, press "SCAN" and while the unit is scanning,
enter the channel number. Repeat this action to unlock a channel.

To increase or decrease the scanning rate, press the "SPEED / ENTER" key while the unit is scanning.

To create a delay after a transmission to wait for the next response, press the "DELAY" key while the unit is scanning.

You can change the display by pressing the "CHANNEL / DISPLAY" key. There are 3 choices: display only the channel number, only the frequency,or alternate displaying the channel number and the frequency.

My 10 year old Bose wave radio quit working.

There's a line fuse inside the radio, mounted on a PC board. CAUTION: disconnect the set from power before opening the case or poking around inside. The fuse could be bad, but these sets are notorious for losing the power transformer. If the fuse is ok then you are looking at a $100 repair fee from Bose. You might want to check out the new HD radios -- better sound, MUCH lower price.

Uniden bearcat scanner

The scanner was probably turned off and it forgot what frequencies were programed into it. Older scanners have a problem with retaining their memory when they are shut off. Most of the older scanners have a memory back-up battery that helps the scanner retain its memory. Check and see if this battery is still good. As for your frequencies, you'll have to reprogram the scanner. To put it in technical terms, some older scanners have what is called RAM (Regency Alterable Memory) and ROM (Regency Organized Memory), when you turn off you scanner, this memory is erased, along with your programmed channels. Be sure not to turn off your scanner unless you're willing to reprogram the scanner.

Programming

Most Regency Scanners have the same basic programming setup.

Try the following.

Press "Manual"
One of the channels will show up in the display, probably channel 1.

Enter the frequency you want to enter, example 162.550

Press "Enter"

The channel number will flash,

Enter the channel number you want to put that frequency in, example to put that frequency into channel 4 enter the number 4.

Note that on some models for channels 1-9 you must enter the channel as a 2 digit number so enter 04 for channel 4.

You can repeat this process to enter all the frequecy's you want and just change the channel number.
