Go to magnavox.com/usasupport and download the firmware and driver upgrades. Then do a launch device manager from your programs. Make sure and hold the return button on the top of the player until the magnavox device manager recognizes the player. The repair program will fix it. We just had the same problem and we fixed it. At first all it would say was magnavox and then turn off. It resets the mp3 player. You will have to reload your songs. Y

I thought the battery was dead beacause i turn it on and it would just show the word magnavox then go balnk so I bought a new battery and it did the same.
