Hello, Peggy.

There could be many reasons for your problem, such as a hardware problem or a software problem.

But, give this a try - power off your laptop, remove and reinsert the battery and try again.

Hope this helps.

Cant access windows due to submitting a new password, the numbers lock is on and i think that is the reason why i cant access windows, really need to know how to turn it off, can someone please help

You can use some Windows password Recovery Tool 3.0 to reset your password:

1. Login to a computer that can link to Internet. Download " Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0 " and install it on that PC. Note that: there is a .ISO file. Burn the .ISO file to a CD or a USB flash drive.

2. Get out the newly created CD/USB and insert it to the locked computer.

3. re-booted the locked computer (it's necessary for you to change your computer's Setup to make it boot from CD drive or USB drive) and then followed the process of instructions. Just a few steps, the old password was removed.

4. Setting new password.

Try connecting an regular old USB keyboard to the computer. Sometimes computers won't boot if a functional keyboard cannot be found during it's Power On Self Test.

If that is the case, then the laptop's keyboard is fried and needs to be replaced.

My wireless logitech keyboard will not type. I have uninstalled & installed, booted computer up several times & still it will not work. What next?

Try that keyboard on another laptop or desktop computer. If it reacts the same way then you know for sure the keyboard is bad. If it works on another computer then that means its an issue with the original computer.

Also check to make sure you have fresh batteries inside of the keyboard as well.

Sounds like your keyboard may have gone bad or became disconnected in some way.Try raising the keyboard and see if its connected securely to the motherboard. If it is i tend to think the keyboard needs replaced.Check with the manufacturer to make sure there is'nt a simpler solution though.

Try just hitting Num Lock.

Hold Fn and hit Num Lock.

Hold Fn and hit the blue "lock icon" on the keyboard.

SONY VAIO PCG-7G1M Wont boot

First you understand yourself is that after the windows logo screen apperars and its get restart means there is some changes or malfunction happened to your hardware - Although you changed your hard disk will not solve your problem. Please clarify as follows

1) did you load you operating system to this hard disk by any other computer help - if you load it with the same system try to reinstall the system.

If the problem existing 100% your motherboard is partially damage I think the uniprocessor side voltage variation is happening while you press keyboard some charge (voltage) you are supplying to the motherboard, sometimes some key pulse is more than 5 volt so that pulse support to get moved some points

First check your windows try to reinstall agian - I predict that you got this hard disk installed through some other laptop so the hardware configuration is different.

Thanks Hothawk
